I genuinely think the British public, the way a small section of them have turned on Susan Boyle, is awful, and horrid and undeserved.

The British just don't like someone who is successful. Its just horrible.

I for one will be voting for Susan Boyle.
A lovely, unassuming talented lady.

I do, for the most part, agree with this.
There are a lot of people who seem to take delight in someone else's failure.
I've seen a lot of comments on here tonight wishing for both Hollie and Susan to "mess up".
It's sad.

I don't want her to win. She wasn't the best performer on the night. Nothing to do with my being disgusting, which I am not.

Shows how fickle people are. After everything, she deserves to win. She's had no second chances (you know who I'm hinting at) I don't spy a sob story and she's had so much undeserved crap in the last 2 weeks that it'd feel appauling if she didn't win.

I hope she wins, I really do. She put on a good show with all the pressure etc. on her (which is clearly taking it's toll), and she's a lovely person. She deserves it so much!

I completely agree with you! Seriously, I was feeling ashamed to be British when they were booing.

She's done nothing wrong. People basically hate her because she's ugly. She's overrated because she's ugly, and she's hated because she's overrated, so really, she's hated because she's ugly, and that's why I like her, and am appalled by some people's attitude.

It's like how people where hating Eoghen from the X Factor because he was 16 (the reason he was overrated) and hating Mickey from big Brother because he was blind (the reason he was overrated). That's sort of like hating someone because they're black...

What is so special sbout SB, FFS there are acts out there like Diversity and Flawless who have more variety that deserve to win this. Just look at the effort they put into their perforamance and compare that to SB's performance.

I think the booing was more directed at Piers for saying that he wanted her to win, but I do agree that some of the things the media and the public are saying about her are horrible.

Of course everyone is entitled to their own opinion but I've read things that are just beyond nasty and don't need to be said at all.

I think she comes across as a lovely woman who is just trying to get her break. She can't help all of the publicity she has gained and don't blame her one bit for straining under the pressure.

I say good on her and would be happy to see her win tonight. She's just doing the thing she loves and shouldn't be persecuted for it.

I think the reason why I thought Susan wasn't as good as her first time, was because she SEEMED to be singing the song slower. Her voice stability on the long notes has improved greatly. If only she'd stepped up the pace she'd have been great, she really would have. Unless she was too concerned with trying to stay stable maybe? Her voice stability has greatly improved though.

I agree the chavy audience were awful. Let's hope Susan wins to put paid to the bullies at The Sun.
