Watching it tonight, a little part of me felt SB was glad she came 2nd! I think the pressure became to much in the end ... but well done Susan, you was great!

I thought that. She smiled properly for the first time tonight at the result and what a lady, so gracious.

I have to agree, and I didn't like her since her audition.

She was lovely tonight, and very relieved I think. She looked relaxed and happy as soon as the result was announced.
Bless her. Life hasn't been easy for her.

Never been a fan, but she accepted defeat graciously - I hope she has a long and successful career - but in America hopefully!!

Think she honestly meant it when she said the better performers won, even if she was disappointed she most likely knows she's been overrated as a singer. Also she was probably expecting an even bigger public backlash if she took the prize, so relief there. That, and the offers will be flooding in for her regardless.

She seemed happy to of not won lol, na obvs she will be a bit annoyed about it, anyone would, but she took it like a real champ, glad she came second, even though I wanted her to win. Diveristy were brilliant.

Yes - 6 months in America (where she will be treated with some dignity - they don't have the same type of low life gutter press we do here). She'll be retired and back home in Scotland by Christmas but several million richer.

I agree as well. She seemed so tense throughout all this evening and only relaxed, smiled and became the "Saucy Susan" we know once it was announced Diversity had won.

I really think she was relieved to be freed of the pressure, bless her.

She'll do well but can now take things at her own pace.

I think it was a huge relief for her. She knows that she will get an album anyway...she could do without the pressure.

I agree, she did seem relieved. She was so gracious in defeat as well...
Anyway, she will make a name for herself in the US.

It made me love her even more, the way she took it. She's fantastic. I'm glad she didn't win, and I'm glad how she took it. Love her.

Yes. She'll do well without the win so she'll be fine.

For her to win would have been predictable and an anti-climax. And I thought people were better than her tonight.

I agree, she looked genuinely relieved not to have won.

the thing I would bear in mind less than 48 hours ago she was packed and ready to go home.

you just know that chat cowell had with her he basically said win or lose youre life is changing.

In fairness those guys were truly amazing and thats a perfect act for the RVS.

Knowing how cowell works hes going to get susan some proper lessons then off around the US you know the money they will pay will set her up for life.

Yes, she looked enormously relieved and gracious in defeat.
