Susan didn't need the win!
Mandark

She didn't! She's already a global superstar and will sell millions of records.

Still I'm happy for the boys. More entertaining than Flawless and they're only going to be in the limelight for a year or so.

No I agree. She genuinly looked pleased and relieved she didn't win.

She was happy for Diversity.

She is a global superstar allready but she will grow to be even more of one and will have a number 1 album by next year Beleive me.

She'll be signed anyway, as will all the other singers.

Well you would say that considering she didn't win.

Andrew Johnston and Faryl got signed up, released albums and still didnt win. The winner did naff in comparison, it's not much difference between reaching the final and winning.

All the singers will probably be signed.

Not only did she not need to win, I think in the long run she might be better off not winning. The relief on her face when Diversity was announced was hard to miss and she immediately became the old Susan again. I don't think she was prepared to cope with the enormous pressure she was put under - who would be. She'll get her album out, and make enough from it to be able to go back home to her cat and the quiet life without having to worry about money for a while.

For the lip readers, what did she say during the silence when we were waiting for the results?

She did look so much happier when she found out she was second. When she was the first in the top 3 I thought she was going to be sick on the stage. I think even herself knew it would have been too much to win. I'm pleased for Diversity, they will be able to live off this for a while. Susan will almost certainly be signed up by Simon's record label, probably within a matter of days. Julian will probably also get some sort of deal, as will Shaheen, Hollie and Shaun.

argee!

i was gutted she didn't win and think the crappy tabloid press and the people who believe everything they read had something to do with it.
not taking away from diversity though as they really were fantastic tonight and if she had to lose to someone then im glad it was them

I thought Aidan was going to hurl tonight, he went all pale and had to bend over. Probably just getting his breath back or something...

All the singers will be signed I guess. There's plenty of time for Hollie and Shaun, Susan is ready now (she is good, just not as good as the hype) but if they record Shaheen now, they will probably get more than one before his voice breaks... Looking how big he is compared to Ant and Dec he must be about 5'2 which is average for about an 11 year old, he's 12 1/2 or there abouts (audition early Feb) so he's small for his age so there's not much to suggest it might break early (tends to be aligned to height more than anything else, though it isn't really predictable in a lot of cases unless you listen to them regularly, when you can tell) meaning he probably has 18 months usable - Andrew Johnston's album was finished about the time of his 14th birthday and he was bigger than A+D on BGT. I can't see Cowell getting him unless he doesn't have the contacts through Mark Jermin which have got him his previous work.

Not much Cowell can do with dancers, though Aidan is musically gifted as well, so maybe he could get him to do a variety of things - despite his comments, I think Simon likes Aidan and Aidan seems to think a lot of Simon's opinions (hence crying; he'll get over it and Simon was right, but for a boy of 12 he didn't have long to prepare considering he would be tired and have to go to bed after the show, so he did rather well).

Julian's already signed to Sony/BMG anyway, can't think of anyone else he'll want, though Sallie has a better voice and musicianship than Faryl IMO.

Flawless are pros and Diversity will do well on the RVS - they are well-drilled and will have their 15 mins fame, and deservedly so.

Anyone know what Susan said whilst waiting for the results? I wondered whether she was saying "Diversity" - if not what was it?
