For Susan's sake, I'm glad she didn't win.
This country loves to bring people down when they achieve worldwide success, and I think the backlash would've been even worse had she won.
She has longevity and is gonna be huge. |

You know what? I think you're right actually. I was really upset when the results were announced but now maybe it does seem the right thing for her happened.
It disgusts me the press in this country. How they bring people up and then kick them down again. A huge weight has now been lifted off Susans shoulders. She can now go about her career at her own pace. She has touched and inspired millions and will almost certainly continue to do so. I think the result was a massive shock though. Whats happening recently? First Ulrika Johnson wins Big Brother and now this ![]() Anyway I look forward to Susans first cd

I actually don't go in for this shit, but I feared for her winning...purely because her first performance prompted boos. If she had won the thing I think the audience would've been throwing rotten tomatoes as a form of empty protest.
Poor ****ing love....build em up to knock em down. Britain's got talons...and they ain't afraid to scratch your eyes out. |

I'm glad she didn't win. It would have been horrible if some of the audience had booed her and judging by their reaction to what Piers said earlier it may well have happened.
She looked genuinely happy and smiled properly for the first time since the audition. The difference between her audition and now was that she seemed so joyful when she first sang. She'd lost that spark a little bit. Now the pressure is off she can get on with her singing and feel happy again
