Didn't I read on here how last year at least one of the forum members here was calling the Idol phone numbers and voting for American Idol contestants? How is that any different? You know what they say about opinions, and that's just what people are giving, opinions if you don't like what they're saying ignore them.

Don't flatter yourself.
I'm sure that you'd like to believe that the UK finds it so important but the truth is that most people don't even watch it over here.
It's not as important over here as you seem to think it is.

Either way, why is it bad exactly that they are interested in BGT? Does it hurt you that they watch and actually like Susan Boyles?
This statement say more about you than them.”

No. It really REALLY isn't important.

I quite frankly couldn't give a flying fek what they may or may not think.

As a fan of America's Best Dance Crew, I think it's nice to finally have an act that are up to US standards in terms of style and creativity. In the last two series I've had to listen to people praise the dance groups and think 'ugh'. It feels pretty good to have a decent winner, who actually put in the best performance on the night.

Susan was a great story, if over-hyped, but I'm sure few Americans give a fig anyway.

Then why get so upset when a few Americans opine on Britain's Got Talent, remember we outnumber you by 5x if America all 300,000,000 of us really liked Susan Boyle, she'd be a SuperStar. You guys are getting all upset for no real reason, than to proclaim a veiled I hate America and Americans.

Who's upset?
I think it's quite funny if the rest of the world are going "Oh....".

I'm just reiterating what other's are saying in that we're very happy at the result which the British voted for.
It's only people who are complaining about the result who appear upset because it doesn't fit with what America predicted.

Good for you. That's a lot of people. Well done for being more people than what we are.
I've got a crappy cheap little flag of the union jack in my hand which measures about 3 inches by two inches and I'm waving it at you in defiance. Yayyy.

Yeah, supposedly we are the native speakers of ENGLISH.

Shame on us!

I am glad Susan didn't win. They have the same with their Clay Aiken, and recently that talent-queeny gay called Adam.

Methinks they will just lap up Susan all the more this way. Well, it's nobody's lost, certainly not Susan's. In fact, I think now there is less pressure for Susan to really do well without that BGT Champion sticker waving in front of her, inviting only media hatred in our country.

Faryl said that when she over in the US recently promoting her album, whenever Britain's Got Talent was mentioned all they talked about was Susan Boyle. Faryl said she's massive over there.

Don't worry, many of us Britons are suffering from the small-penis syndrome, that's all. The very fact that this thread is started meant deep down they really cared what others (including Americans) think of us.

One thing springs to mind: cynicism, and willing to build one up and dash one down with wanton glee.

loss

100 million hits on Youtube apparently. Why? The song from Les Mis was great, but the other tune was mediocre coming from her - she's a flash-in-the-pan.

Paul Potts sounded horrible, even in his finals, and even though he won.

But last night, he was fantastic, and this showed that with proper training, a rough dimond can be cut into a beautiful dimond.

The same with Susan, she's not flawless in her delivery, not even close, but under proper training, she'll shine.

America loves Paul, and they WILL lap Susan up. It's our loss (sorry about my typo) if we continue to diss her even after she's bowed out gracefully last night.
