The front page of this section is plagued with Boyle and Diversity threads, so I thought I'd remind everyone about Julian Smith - he DID come 3rd after all

Well Done Julian , he was great tonight .

It's the first time I've properly watched BGT and wasn't paying much attention when the ads finished and thought Julian had won I do hope that it isn't over for him like he fears as he is really talented.

Julian was ok but there are thousands of other sax players out there just as good if not better than him.

PLus he has a very odd shaped head not unlike an egg

I thought he was great and deserved to get somewhere he seems very humble, I loved his performance and clearly a lot of other people out there felt the same as me doesn't matter about the forum.

it must have been hot wearing that t cosy ..

I think he was playing the 'always the bridesmaid never the bride/ nice guy/ humble' card a bit too much.

Plus..the shape of his head without a hat on made me want an omelette

Don't worry - I'm sure his album will be coming to an elevator near you sometime soon.

I wouldn't have minded if he won. He was in my top 3 anyway.

He got my vote on Thursday and tonight. Love his music!

I never once saw him without a hat... I did always wonder what was underneath it

I was surprised he made to the last 3 because i was expecting Flawless to be up there with Boyle and Diversity!

same was true of escala last year imo. good, but no better than all the other string quartets. but at least they tried...

Kenny J can go and busk somewhere - that's all it appears he can manage.

I have to keep pointing this out - he is a professional and should not have been on the show. Still surprised he made third. On the radio they think he got the latecomers vote. Helped Susan and Diversity as well.

No disrespect meant to Julian because he seems like a lovely guy and clearly talented but I think it was a voting problem - I know I found it near impossible to get through to vote for Diversity and eventually I gave up whereas Julian's line was probably pretty clear.

I thought the draw may have had some bearing on the result but I did think that Diversity's choreography was bl**dy brilliant and would pay to see them any day of the week!

Just to let everyone know - I didn't exactly want Julian to win - I liked Diversity, but would have preferred him to win over Susan - I just felt that he needed a thread considering he came third...

However, I haven't read any papers recently and didn't know about him supposedly being a professional. This is the first time I've ever been in this section of DS aswell so haven't read any threads on it either.

So, am off to have a read!
