Kingdom - HD or SD?
The new series of Kingdom starts new Sunday (7th) on ITV1, the Guide info says viewers can press the red button for HD but when I try and set a series link there is no option to record HD, anyone know if it is in HD or is it just the HD link hasn't been added?

The only thing I see listed on my EPG for Sun 7 is Stephen Tomkinson's African Balloon Adventure. As usual it's not like it's hard to spot amongst a huge list
It's a pity. Kingdom usually has a lot of outdoor scenes and is well filmed. It'd look pretty damn good in HD if they did it properly. |

Digiguide shows Kingdom to be in HD. Probably they have not set up that fact in the EPG. I would try again in a few days.

If indeed it means anything, ITV's own TV guide has it in HD too.

I also set the Stephen Tompkinson and was able to select the HD marker, odd that Kingdom is right after it and ITV haven't put the HD flag on it.

It hasn't appeared in my DVB Viewer EPG yet either, it might pop up a little later.

I've just checked here.
Kingdom does have the "HD viewers press Red ......." in the Info description, which is usually a good indicator. But, ominously, it does not carry the HD flag/icon, nor does it have a Series Link icon, or Series CRID (only a Prog CRID), on either ITV West Country, or ITV London. I say "ominously", as I'm getting deja-vu here. This is very reminiscent of Wild at Heart. Some of you may remember the very long thread about ITV early Sunday evening programmes. ITV continually "lost" the HD flag on Wild at Heart, and all the Series Links for it, and the programmes either side of it. I had weekly email dialogue with ITV, and it just kept happening. I do hope I'm wrong about it, we'll see if it appears in the next week. Rgds. Les. |

I'm convinced it will be in HD, but whether us PVR owners will be able to set it up as an HD recording, or Series Link it, is another matter
![]() Rgds. Les. ![]() In the meantime I've told DVBViewer when and where. Thankfully (sorta) Inspector Gently has finished so my single tuner will suffice.

It's still not showing on my EPG. At least I can create a timer for it.

Is the football on Wednesday night the same for others? (i.e. not showing up as HD in the EPG)

Well the preceding program is fully flagged to record/watch:sd/hd. Kingdom is flagged just record/watch. So I know where my money is.

It seems at the moment it is only Kingdom and the England game which still don't have the record HD flag, all of the other HD programs in the next 7 days are flagged to record the HD version.

![]() It sucks that the only people who are officially supported by ITV HD are the only ones that get the half-arsed service. |

I can. I'm using a PC-based solution though. Presumably Sky HD users can as well.

You can't set in HD, or for Series Link, only a single instance SD event.
I emailed ITV on Monday pointing out the problem. Rgds. Les. Can you please give me itv email address as I have recorded Kingdon two weeks running and each time it has been cut off a few minutes too early ( I do have padding set). Thanks mastanlem |

Theres no point emailing them, they will ignore it.
The same happened for a recent show and despite them being made aware of it, all shows were cut short. |
