I disagree with the previous posts re Cameron's falseness.

I don't agree with his views on homosexuality but think that he was very brave to express them. He must have realised at the time that he was expressing a minority view which was more likely to lose him the Big Brother prize than win it.
”

i hope you're not for a moment trying to suggest its in anyway inconsistant for people to both accuse Cameron of being a *fraud* and have a go at him for apparently *honest* comments?

surely not, huh?

What an utterly ridiculous viewpoint.

It is hardly "brave" to express bigoted, outdated, reactionary crap. On the contrary, it only happened because after nine weeks of self-obfuscation, he was finally put on the spot for the first time.

Would you argue the same if Stout was a member of the National Front? Would he be "brave" enough to express his "minority view"?

Hey - a bit of logic here please.
”

so which is it Ben - was Cameron being a *fraud* or did he express controversial, albeit *honest* views?

whatever you think of the guy, you can't have it both ways, now can you?

You don't happen to be a pal of "disnaespeakmuch", do you?

Stout deserves all the vilification he gets.

The thrust of your post seems to be that "people can express bigoted, racist, homophobic garbage - but as long as they do it in a "nice" way, it's okay."
”

thats right - its called *freedom of speech*.

it might be complete bollocks, and abhorrant to most of us, but its something we have here nonetheless.

Couldn't you make it a New Year's resolution not to post pedantic drivel to a forum where you have precious little knowledge of the subject matter and not to waste your company's time and money posting when you should be working?

Couldn't you get the hint just for once that you are a bore who has nothing valid or interesting to contribute?

can't you accept that just for once, the fact that I disagree with you doesn't make me a bore (its you guys who are still harping on about this after all! ) who has nothing valid or interesting to contribute.

i just think you're contradicting yourself when on the one hand you call Cameron a fraud, whilst on the other criticise him for his views which, whatever else they are, are honest.

you can respond to that politely and sensibly, or you can respond with the usual abusive bile - its up to you.

I only respond sensibly to people who have actually watched the programme, not to a pedant who just likes to break up his tedious day at work arguing for the sake of it.

I see you've decided to stand up for the homphobic, Asylum Seeker hating bigot again then Iain........Maybe you are going to tell us freedom to use threatening language when discussing women with other people is something to be admired......?

Ah...well if winning was all that matters to you then Iain you chose the right bigot to back........Meanwhile since Big Bro is a popularity contest and not a gameshow....or were you thinking this was Bob's Full House, where I'm sure supressing your dodgy opinions would go unnoticed, there are some of us who find being fake on Big Brother less forgivable.......You will just have to accept that those of us who watched the show find Cameron far more contemptable than you.....and we're happy to express it......

there couldn't possibly be a difference between me thinking that *winning is all that matters*, and accepting that by its very nature BB is a *competition*, and so by definition will be *competitive*.

ben has harped on about me *not understanding the nature of BB*, but i think most simply put, BB is popularity contest, and as such people may not necessarily be most popular by being 100% *themselves*.

how did the song go? *its only a gameshow, its only a gameshow...* who's being pedantic now?

of course thats perfectly reasonable. i still think you're contradicting yourselves to describe Cameron as a *fraud* at the same time as criticising his *honest* views - don't you think?

yes - because whatever you say should be the be all and end all of any thread, and anyone who has a different view can just soak up your abuse?

is that it?
