I currently own a HumaxFoxSat HD receiver which I use solely for UK Freesat when in France. I also obtain French language programmes via terrestrial transmissions.
I am now proposing to change from terrestrial to freesat for my main television at home in the UK and intend purchasing a HumaxFoxSat HDR receiver recorder. If possible I would like also to be able to pick up French language non-Freesat programmes from Hotbird.
Obviously one way would be to have two dishes, a separate receiver for Hotbird and use the second HDMI interface into the TV.
The alternative, if it is possible using the HumaxFoxSat HDR, is to have a dual output Monoblock LNB with each input to the HDR being able to switch between to two LNB in the Monoblock
My problem is that I do not know, if this is possible, and as I am not familiar with the user interface for DiSEqC, have no idea how I instruct the Humax to change from one LNB to the other. I also would like to know if I can have one feed from one LNB at the same time as the other feed is coming from the other LNB, thereby allowing recording of Freesat transmissions from Astra whilst watching other transmissions from Hotbird.
What I am ideally hoping to achieve is not having to think about the fact that I have a monoblock and just be able to see the Freesat EPG in Freesat mode and the Hotbird Channel list in Non-Freesat mode, with the only action on my part being to change from Freesat to Non-Freesat mode.
So, with this in mind, I think my question is:- Is it possible to have my HumaxFoxSat HDR set up with a monoblock LNB so that, if I select Freesat, I see the freesat EPG and if I select Non-Freesat my channel list shows the Hotbird channels?
