The Sun are going to print the worst picture of her that they could find...!!!

It's a pity that Susan's first audition wasn't held in the last week instead of 6 weeks ago
and then there wouldn't have been so many weeks to hound the poor woman!

I hope she'll soon be well and back home with her family!

I'm not usually one for re-quoting posts but I think this is spot on.

You'll get the army of cynics out there who want to believe it's all an angle, but I think when you've got someone who has lived an insular life for decades suddenly being thrust into the 'real world' there are going to be consequences.

I don't know why people find all this surprising .... I mentioned on one of these threads last week that the media had built Susan up so much that we could only hope she doesn't suffer on the way down ... and unfortunatly that is exactly what has happened.

The issue here is not Susan's personality or whatever illnesses she may or may not have, but that the media and production company have taken someone completely unused to the workings of this industry and built them up so much that when it fell apart, so did she ... it's really horrible to watch and both the production company and the media should be ashamed of themselves ... they are the one's at fault.

Everyone is just coming to what maybe false presumptions over Susan, that is how she become under such stress from the media in the first place and the show itself.

Let's just please let Susan be for the time being, her health and future is far more important than wild speculation.

I was very upset to hear that Susan had been taken to a clinic yesterday. I watched her on Saturday night and it was obvious that she was not herself. I have never been a fan of hers and didn't understand why everyone thought she was so wonderful. I am surprised that she managed to hold it together for so long and I don't believe that a few days in a clinic are going to make her better. People less fragile than Susan struggle to get back to their normal selves and a breakdown is life changing for anyone! I hope she recovers enough to make her album out of the limelight (if possible) and then is allowed to return to her normal life without fuss.

Unfortunately, if she did go home, the press would be camped on her doorstep. I think, at least, in the Priory she will not be bothered by the press, she will be in a protected environment, and will get the r&r she needs.

The press have already been at her door today and TV have been interviewing her neighbours already today!

The poor woman... I'm positive she didn't think it would come to this!

Firstly, let me say I am very sorry to hear this news about Susan and I hope she does make a full recovery. Secondly, my advice to anyone who finds the Press camped on their doorstep is to go all out to bore them to death. They might then move on to someone more interesting.

But who cares about decency when viewing figures are being chased?”

I don't think Susan's voice is sufficiently good and distinctive that an album would sell without the publicity of her appearing on BGT. There are many professional singers who could make an album at least as good as anything that Susan could do.

If she had been deliberately prevented from continuing in the contest because of her disability there would have been an outcry about discrimination by the BGT team.

+1. The furore over her audition was really OTT.

Her neighbour's spelling and punctuation is equally horrendous. The whole story sums up the Britain of 2009.

Right at the beginning there were many that felt they wanted to protect her from the press and unscrupulous people, this was right after seeing the first performance, and not just because of the ytube and media frenzy.

Also, seems to me, that at the beginning she was very acommodating to the press and to fans and the press were nice about her, but it was too full on, so when she got a bit more savvy and tried not to encourage them or be as friendly, the media didn't like it so started to make or find other stories.

I can understand better now why famous people do get these big houses in huge grounds that help with their privacy.

I don't believe the story about running amok and throwing water after the show. The papers make up anything. We all saw how relieved she was not to have won yet on a news programme I just saw headlines of today's papers showing horrible pictures of her and saying she was upset about not winning. Rubbish.”

Diversity were on GMTV this morning and they said that after the show Susan was fine, chatting to them and showing her some of her moves they said she was really tired and couldnt wait for a rest.

I get sick of red top newspapers making a meal out of everything. This lady was plucked from obscurity, she has been all over the place in the last few months including the USA, she was just EXHAUSTED AND READY to collapse.

Also on the telly was Piers Morgan. He said he spoke to her yesterday for over half an hour and she is FINE, just tired, which isnt surprising to be honest.

I hope the newspapers back off and leave her alone, yeh right AS IF.

It's awful how the media circus can destroy a person.
Being ripped apart in public like she was.
All the best to Susan

What Susan has been through would be difficult for anyone to cope with. The type of mental disabilty she suffers from makes even living a normal life difficult, it is hardly a surprise that she has struggled to adapt to her current situation.

I don't agree with the sentiment that she should go needs to go back to her hometown, she is perfectly capable of having a career as a professional singer. She was, by her own admission, very lonely before BGT, it's not as though she had a close knit, supportive circle of family and friends around her in Blackburn. In truth she will get much better care and support privately in London than from her NHS GP in a small town in Scotland.

I hope she gets the care she needs and is able to fulfil her dream of singing for a living. Once the media hysteria and pressure has subsided and she finds a comfort level within her new life, there is no reason she can't go on to record an album and do live shows. I wish her all the best.

I agree, I wish the GBP would wake up and stop buying the trashy papers and magazine. Shame on them all. I too wish her all the best.

Also on the ITV2 after show about an hour afterwards, she was standing in the background with all the other contestants smiling and clapping when Diversity were being interviewed.

The Daily Star today runs with headline "Amazing Antics of Half-Naked Loser". How nice.

Let me see if I can break this one down.

1) Crazy cat woman, starved for human interaction signs up for reality based talent show

2) Crazy cat woman, starved for human interaction proves to world that 'crazy cat woman-type people' can sing. ex: see Paul Potts

3) Crazy cat woman, starved for human interaction becomes internet superstar in viral video worldwide

4) Crazy cat woman, starved for human interaction gets just what she was looking for ...human interation, fame, and everything that comes wth it.

5) Crazy cat woman, starved for human interaction realises that human interaction is highly over rated. (her cats explain this to her telepathically while staying in hotel)

6) Crazy cat woman, starved for human interaction is admitted to mental hospital.

She couldn't pick a better song.

"But the tigers come at night
With their voices soft as thunder
As they tear your hope apart
As they turn your dream to shame"

Even AFTER the final, she's still hounded. She sang surprisingly well in the final considering the situations surrounding her, and she looked fine at Britain's Got MORE Talent in ITV2 after the contest, just quiet, not doing those silly sexy move gyrations.

But who wouldn't be exhausted after a night like that? Let's hope she Simon has a heart (FAT hope) and get some kind of an 'entourage' (with psychologists, counsellors etc.) to help her along the way while they milk her success for what is its worth and then leave her alone after that.

this crumpled up ball of paper was found by cleaners after BTT final :

find singer

get singer hooked on smack

book singer into Priory

get singer into tabloidy relationship (Peter Andre may be available and up for it)

singer does "MY AUDITON HELL" / "My cornflakes have run out hell" "my paper cut hell" type story for tabloids

singer breaks up with Peter Andre, moves onto Piers Morgan

duet with Lady Gaga

buy new roller, start over again with new singer

nb. go to borders buy new book "how to monetize dance groups - for dummies"

I agree with you. The poor women was just holding it together. I dont think for one minute this was false its this again of attitude that causes such harm IMHO and to me the look of relief on her face when Diversity won said it all. Poor lady.
