Just wondered if anyone had noticed the high pressure affecting transmission.

I still have a perfect picture but I noticed the other day quality has fallen from 100% to 80%. I'm presuming this is the weather. Anyone else noticed any change?

Probably nothing to do with atmospheric pressure, more likely heat related.
What sort of dish do you have? Some of the lighter coloured dishes can reflect too much sunlight onto the LNB at certain times of the year (varies by latitude), causing it to overheat.
Likewise a dark coloured dish can get too warm and distort itself due to expansion.
All in all, probably time for a new dish or LNB.

Good point my dish only gets the sun first thing in the morning so never gets heated by the sun.

Just checked mine Graham. 90% Sig and 100% Quality South West England checked on 101,103, and 108.
Standard Rather rusty and weather beaten, Sky Digital dish. In full sunlight all day and it gets all the bad weather to.

I have never been a fan of the meters on any system. Sky Freeview etc. Readings vary with boxes.

I am not sure about the accuracy of the Humax. Picture remains superb .

I have an 80cm clear dish (Polycarbonate type material with mesh reinforcement).

My dish gets sun from the sun rise in the morning all the way through to around 2-2.30pm.

After I saw 80% the other day, it did rise again to 100% so maybe there is a little heat distortion going on. Still got a great pic though.
