Has anybody ever tried these? Did you like them?

We were given a dozen of them the other day, my Mum used to work at a turkey packing factory many moons ago and confirmed they were definately turkey eggs.

I have just done a viccy cake mix (6,6,6 &3) using 3 of these turkey eggs, needless to say I am a bit nervous, I don't do change!!

Took me a while to crack them open, the membranes are so thick.

Good question! I haven't, to be honest it's never really occurred to me. I mean we hear of duck, chicken, quail eggs etc but i've never heard of turkey eggs, nor seen them.

Not heard of turkey eggs. They are avian so must lay eggs but you never see them in the supermarkets.

I had to do a google when we got them because I thought they could have been duck eggs because I know the person we get our chicken eggs from has ducks too. I since remembered that she does have turkey's for xmas because she offered us one last year.

the one on the left is chicken and the other 2 are turkey. Apparently turkey eggs have a very short season.

Just taken the cake out of the oven, it looks light as anything, I'll tell you how it tastes if I survive

I’ve used duck eggs to make Victoria sponge and they work very well. They made a springier sponge than hen’s eggs.
