May I also suggest that you check out www.btvisionhelp.co.uk?. Not intended as a replacement or competitor to the official BT site, more of a hobby site. I started off with the idea of a searchable remote codes database, and it just grew from there really.

My first website so it looks a bit clunky, but I am in the process of redesigning it.

What does this site have to do with BT Vision?

Perhaps you can explain this?

I signed up with BT Vision a few months ago after some bad experiences with Virgin Media.

I was told by a BT sales rep that the box would receive & record Freeview HD. It doesn't - pretty poor as freeview HD isn't particularly high tech these days. Why isn't freeview HD included?

As a result of a complaint, I now just pay for telephone and internet, they let me keep the box.

It really is poor if BT are selling this system, making claims it has facilities that aren't there...

Yes, it is poor if they claim that the Vision + box can receive Freeview HD channels - it can't. It can receive HD Films and programmes but these have to be downloaded and a 5-10 minute buffer which means you cannot watch them straight away.

The present box (and the previous silver box), where designed before Freeview HD Channels started to be transmitted and as such don't have the correct tuners in them. BT should be launching a new box in 2012, which should include upto date tuners.

How about a support site for those trying to respond to the
'YouView EarlyBird Offer'?

I eventually bailed out this morning after having phoned the supplied telephone number and been shifted from pillar to post three times while listening to interminable 'elevator' music.

Life's too short for this sort of nonsense.
