My meeting with Cpt. Jack!!

Hey all just thought Id let you all know about my recent experience with the cpt himself.

Now let me set the picture, I am a fan of both Dr Who and Torchwood and find both enjoyable, but my partner is HUGEEEEELY into both David and John, she absolutly loves them. So she booked tickets to John's Harrogate concert, which as much as I enjoy watching him Im not a huge fan of the type of stuff he sings so as much as I was looking forward to it but not amazingly excited to be going. As women do she was worrying for weeks about what to wear giving it "but what if John see's me" to which my usual reply was "come on love, you know I've got more of a chance then you!"

We had block c row e seats 5 and 6 so we thought we be about 5 rows back but as it turned out the theater was curved and our seats somehow turned out to be front row!! slightly off centre but still front row.

He went from side to side of the stage and when he came to our side he was within millimeters, and he actually waved at me at one point while I was filming.

SO the juicy bit after all this ribbing about how I had more of a chance then the Mrs. he was singing Tony Orlando's - Knock Three Time and was getting the audience all at once to clap along to the lyrics 'knock three times' and then get them after the lyrics twice on the pipes go "whooop whooop" which we were all clapping and whooping along, he then walked over to our side of the stage and with the height of the stage I was looking up at him and he was staring straight over the top of me towards the back of the theater when.................

...................all of a sudden he looked straight down at me, knelt on one knee and held out his hand, I stood up he grabbed my hand and pulled me towards and held the microphone to my mouth and nodded at me when the "knock three times" lyric came and wanted me to clap, now me being a lot more flustered then I though I would be got confused and sang into his microphone, he then joking laughed and shouted "your supposed to clap not sing" then he held it to my mouth and i gave out a big "whoop whoop" he then patted me on the back and walked away and then after the song he turned around and asked the audience to give me a round of applause cos in his own words "the guy with tattoo's cant half whoop whoop" and then for the rest of the gig everytime he stepped near us he smiled at me in that cheeky way he does when he knows hes just embarrased the hell out of someone.

So there it is, I went to a concert and ended up being taken by the hand by Cpt. Jack himself.

I have to say though his presence in amazing, as mentioned Im not a huge fan but when he pulled me up I was just in awe of the man, in fact I think he might have momenterely turned me!

Ha! Ha!! That is just a brilliant review!!! I saw him in Oxford and your words of come on I've more chance, were exactly what my Husband said to me as I was reapplying my lipstick before we went in!!!! He is fantastic, fantastic, fantastic though isn't he! A real showman. I loved every second of the show and said to my Husband, did you hate it, and he said no, it was brilliant - he really enjoyed it despite being like you a huge DW and Torchwood fan and not all that into JB's music. He said, he obviously loves what he does and makes you feel you're out on a night out with him and he's so funny and so much fun, you can't help but have a great time.

Sounds like you had a great time, despite not expecting to. Those are always the best nights, when you have no expectations and it turns out to be fab anyway!

Glad you and your wife had such a good time.

I've met him a few times. Two at events (panto and filming) and the other two more casual "hey your john barrowman" type encounters. If he was any normal person who doesn't meet hundreds of people every day, he'd probably assume I was stalking him but I'm not, honest .

Plus the singing rather than clapping and making an absolute tit of myself thing is something I'd have probably done in a simmilar situation so I'm glad I wasn't there.

Although my mess ups would probably just be awe as a fan of Jack and the shows he is in rather than a momentary sexual turning heheh , I'm not that into him.
