Seems Katy Perry has postponed her tour, which started this week because she has had a better offer and is doing gigs and awards ceremonies elsewhere.

Anyone ever heard of anything like it? Can't believe they can get away with it, people have booked Hotels and trains that they will lose the money on now.

That's nice. I have never heard of her. Is she some sort of entertainer?

I don't know who she is either. Is that a good thing or a bad thing?

I don't think it's all gigs, but certainly some of them. Seems she had a better offer. Details on her website.

I was meant to be going to see her in Birmingham this coming sunday, but by fluke found out just now (via her facebook group) it has been postponed til August. Am gutted. Hotel and time off work has been booked for ages. Not a happy bunny especially as we would have turned up in Brum this weekend if I didn't bother to clean out my facebook notifications this afternoon, arghh!

Me and my friend are glad we decided not to get tickets now, even though we really still want to go anyway. We feel for the people who got tickets and now can't go to the new dates.

That's what I don't get, her appearance at the Summertime Ball was announced weeks ago, yet she had a concert that night and didn't postpone it until this week.

SIX MONTHS ! my daughter has been looking forward to this concert, finding out just 2 days beforehand is sh*te in my opinion- different if the artist is ill, but just because a better offer lands on the table..."stuff the fans"

Oh really?! God thats just wrong! Anyway the ball starts at 2 so she could go on first and get the plane/fast car to Birmingham and she'd still be there on time thats no excuse really thinking about it.

Yeah it was because I remember it being on DS about a month ago.
I'm wasn't going to the gig in the first place, but I still think this sucks for everyone else.
This rescheduling should really have been annouced weeks ago, yeah people would be annoyed but people can't unbook and cancel plans a few days before hand.
I'm actually quite glad I didn't plan to go in the first place, because me and my friends would be seriously disappointed. We're waiting on a Lady GaGa tour instead
