Want to watch lots of tv and d/l movies with subtitles - and this looks great.
LaCinema Classic 1TB
http://www.amazon.co.uk/LaCie-301397...3882581&sr=1-2

Anyone used one or know anything similar??

Would be good to have WiFi but looks such a good little gadget.. any thoughts or alternatives?

I've got Amazon vouchers so have to purchase from that fine establishment...

thank you

it doesn't bother me as all my avi files are generally divx or xvid avi files - rarely anything else.

just going to use it so we can get rid of our dvd collection and store our movies/tv shows and pics on something. I really like the look of it and the price too.

Going to get me one I think.

Western Digital WD TV + 1TB USB Hard Drive would be a better option as it plays more formats.

I back that DTS audio would be nice mind but playing avi and divx wont be a problem and its upgradeable

From what i've heard you can use a USB Hub to run more than one USB drive at once.

The Software looks very nice too.

Good Review Here

Seems that it does support DTS too.

I've gone for the LaCinema Classic - it may not be the most innovative - but for my needs which is just basically putting all my dvd collection in avi (divx/xvid format) onto it with subtitles- it's perfect for me.
It looks pretty and is meant to be easy to use, will also be good for jpeg viewing and my videos when i convert them to avi.

All in all you get a good amount of HD for your money anyway.

Will let you know what its like.

By the way - I saw a review on the WD one that said it struggles with Xvid/Divx files - so that really put me off - especially as that is pretty much all the type of files I have.
