The *Ultimate* Apprentice - a spin-off show

The Ultimate Apprentice - a one or two part special in which the winners from all series of The Apprentice battle it out to become the ultimate Apprentice. A special task would be undetaken with past winners needing to sell products and whoever sold the most would win.

The winner would receive a special prize, perhaps a cut glass engraved bowl, similar to that seen in Mastermind. Sugar wouldn't hire the winner but he/she would be seen as the best Apprentice of all. It wouldn't be totally serious, no job would be at stake. Just a bit of fun but a real competition nonetheless.

I think showing it over Christmas would be ideal. Anyway, just an idea.

^^^ Yes, and at one series per year they'll have enough candidates by 2019.

It is an interesting idea but would they want to put themselves through that again?

I like it. The six main series winners (including next year's series) the three celebrity firees and the junior winner (from next year's junior apprentice) battling it out in two teams of five.

Two episodes shown as part of children in need, the first children in need effort by the show. The first mid-week in the normal Wednesday Apprentice slot in which the teams fight it out in the task, the loosing team is all fired and Sir Alan asks the team leader of the winning team to choose the two candidates who they think most deserves to be hired, the other two are also fired.

Then during children in need night itself three (15 minute) minisodes of your fired air making up the second episode. The first two revealing a firee each then interviewing them in the studio and the final titled your hired interviewing the winner.

Around these minisodes the seven who didn't make it to the final appear in the live studio with Terry to read out the phoneline and have a quick chat.

The first minisode airs 9-9:15, the second airs 9:45-10:00, the third airs after the news at 10:20(ish) till 10:35.

Then later on in the night 11:20-11:35, the final three appear in the studio, highlight clips are shown and the winner is given their sponsored award.

As part of the christmas schedule BBC Three rerun the shows as one 1 hour show and 1 45 minute show. The Ultimate Apprentice and The Ultimate Apprentice: Your Fired.

Maybe the first on christmas eve and the latter on boxing day.

Would allow them to do more for charity and provide BBC Three a chance in the christmas schedule wars.

Digital Sid, you've worked out the fine detail. I'm sure it could work. My idea and your planning, we could go far!: D

Why keep it to just the finalists?

I'd like to see something in the format of the celebrity Children in Need Apprentice, but I'd like to see some of the more memorable/contovercial characters back too...

The Apprentice reloaded....
