Hi, what is exactly can the VCR scart socket be used for on the HDR ?. Possibly going to get 42" Hitachi LCD minimilist Display which has only 1 hdmi and not a lot else. I just wondered if I could connect my Sky box to the VCR Scart and pump it out through the HDMi to the TV ? probably not as it may be just an output, but I thought I would ask anyway.

Cheers

Sos it won't work, the vcr scart can only be routed to the tv scart by using the hdr remote source button. The vcr scart can output s-video or composite and input the same but simply passes on the signal to the TV by way of the TV scart.

The VCR SCART is for connecting a VCR or DVD recorder to, it records in composite only, and will probably play back through the HDR - but presumably ONLY via the TV SCART socket?, not the HDMI.
