I have been told by BT that I cannot get BT Vision although my neighbour two doors down has it, any ideas why not?

As you spoke to BT I would have thought they might have told you why not, did you not ask them?

I know the BT vision service requires the ability to receive 2meg + broadband, are you getting 2 meg+ on your broadband? You will also need to receive your broadband from BT.

Could it be that network capacity in your area has been already taken up by you neighbour and others in the area using the BT Vision. If you line speed is below a certain point you cant get it as it would be very unstable.

Hi, i am in BT Hell at the moment - all departments are telling me i can get OnDemand but, despite two engineer visits - i still cannot watch it!

They are now telling me 'unless your throughput can be raised the service may not work'

it's been like this for an age - anyone know what to do next or who to write to (with address - i am NOT emailing!) to complain.

best

I got a BT I- Plate in June to try and keep my speed over 2mb and since I got the I-Plate I have been getting a steady 2.7mb speed 98% of the time but the last two evenings my speed seems to have droped to 2mb for some reason. I was hoping to get BTVision but I looks like I cant.

At least they were honest with you.

BT told my sister that they could get vision - turns out their line speed being only 1.5, they cannot get it.

They are being charged for it and BT won't let them out of the contract.

If you are in an area with slow line speeds (like me) ... be aware of this and make sure you can actually get it.
