F******* hot sauce.

Customers are going to buy this, get home, play with it as if it's tomato ketchup and end up calling an ambulance.

I tried a tiny drop of this on a piece of bread once and could feel where it went on my tongue about 6 hours later! Never again.

I made tomato salsa with it at the weekend for a BBQ and I still can't taste anything now. Bloody lovely stuff

Just got back from Asda clutching my bottle. It is very hot but not as hot as some.
Just ordered some Mad Dog 357, now that is hot!

This is a fun thing to do with Dave's Insanity Sauce. Even better with Ultimate Insanity, but I can't see ASDA stocking that so you'd have to get it online.

Chicken Vindaloo Roulette

Serves 4

2 Chicken Breasts
1 Jar Chicken Tonight Creamy Curry
Red Food Colouring
Dave's Insanity Sauce
Rice to serve

Chop some chicken breast into bite size pieces. Marinate 1 single piece of chicken in Dave's Insanity Sauce for 24 hours, whilst the remaining chicken is marinated in a covering of Chicken Tonight plus a few drops of red food colouring. This is important, so that the insanity chicken is more or less the same colour as the normal chicken.

Proceed to make Chicken Tonight as per the jar instructions, and serve with the rice.

Our Asda has Dave's Gourmet Insanity Sauce (the original) and Dave's Temporary Insanity Sauce. I bought 4 bottles of each in case they quit selling it due to low sales. It's probably too hot for most of the British public. LOL

I've been using Dave's Insanity Sauce for years so it's nice to be paying an Asda price for it. Now, I hope they start stocking Blair's Death Rain Nitro or Habanero powder.

Sainsbury's stocked Dave's Insanity in their "Special Selection" about 6 years ago, seemed to be restocked once (typical for a trial / fail product) and never been seen since.

No idea whether any ASDA buyers actually tasted the stuff, I presume they must have; but i'm only expecting the one restock (supermarkets measure the success of a product not by how many people buy it once, but by how many people buy it again), so grab it while you can!

Question, I can eat chillies whole, and raw - straight from picked. I have never tried a vindaloo but I like my own curries made with a couple of chillies and extra hot curry powder. I also regularly use Susie's hot sauce which I got in the caribbean last year.
Am I ready to try some insanity sauce?
Or will I be ?

Some blokes at work a few years ago had some Chicken Wings left over from some takeaway they were eating. They said to me "Come and try these chicken wings, they're quite hot" Little did I know, they'd put some Dave's Insanity Sauce on them.

To be honest, I actually quite enjoyed them - like a bit of spicy food.

Just try a drop at a time, mixed into your food. You can always add more, but you can't take away.

And don't think you can pour it on your food like it's Nandos stuff! It's so much hotter than that!

Let us know what you think!

Well, my Mad Dog 357 arrived this morning and it's taken me until now to gather the courage to try it.
I had a single drop, and all I can say is be bastard careful with this stuff! At first I only felt a mild tingle, then it started to build. And build. And BUILD!!!
That was 15 minutes ago and it's only starting to subside now after a pint of milk and a pot of yoghurt. Seriously folks, be careful with this stuff!
On the other hand, you could have some great fun down the pub with it, there's always the hard man who says he can take the hottest curry!
To give you some idea of the heat, Tabasco is rated at about 3,000 on the Scoville scale, Insanity sauce from Asda is rated at 51,000, and Mad Dog 357 Special Edition is rated at 600,000 Scoville Heat Units!

If you are talking about Mad Dog 357, try a Phal X 20. That's about it.

Insanity is certainly flying off the shelves; both the store I first discovered it in (Telford / Centre) and my local ASDA (Stafford) have sold out of Insanity, so I picked up a couple of bottles each of Temporary Insanity and Hurtin' Habanero.

Picking up a portion of chips on the way home and looking forward to trying them out

Awesome! Maybe there is some hope that it will continue to be stocked.

Here is the website I use to buy all things hot. I've been very impressed with their packaging and their service.

I bought a bottle of this from ASDA on thursday and finally had some today on some lamb cutlets...

Now that it has been opened is it really necessary to store it in the fridge? It says you should but sauces usually end up going gammy if you keep them in the fridge.

I keep mine in the fridge. Although, I have left it out overnight before and don't worry about it too much.

What does gammy mean? LOL
