Unlocking Samsung A800

Hi there, pardon my ignorance, but can anyone tell me if i need a cable to unlock a Samsung A800 or if you simply input a code....

You input a code which your network or some dodgy market stall will give you.

it'll give u a *# number, but it may put ure mobile back to the factory settings

Hi folks, great site you have here! I have a Samsung A800 on the Virgin network and wondered if anyone could tell me where to get an unlocking code, preferably free. If so, would I need a data cable to do it or do I just enter the code?

I also have a Nokia 3330 on Orange. Is it possible to unlock it without a data cable? I want to swap the sim cards over.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

if you have spent over £30 on virgin then they will unlock it for you

. and i think www.unlockme.com have a dct-3 unlocking calculator which should unlock your 3330.

Thanks for the info tjc.

I downloaded the programme, took out my sim and it said, "Enter sim card". The only way I could get a blank screen was to press "1". Tried 5 of the 7 codes, but it just kept coming up "Enter sim card". No error message or anything. Any idea what could be wrong?

I might try it on hubby's 3210 in the morning.

BTW the url should be http://www.unlockme.co.uk , just incase someone can't get it to work.
