I always look forward to this episode of the apprentice. I love to see the candidates sqwirm and I always thank god I have no great ambition to get to the top.

There has been alot said about Debra being the potential Apprentice. This is very alarming...driven she maybe, but who would want such a divisive person working within their major company?

She has flat out lied on several occasions and performed badly in several tasks (the rebranding one especially - she was just awful), just because she can sell some crap on a shopping channel does not mean she's the kind of person who Alan should hire.
I agree.

She's more capable than that but SAS said the presenting bit wasn't important and what was important was choosing the product. Debra sold but Kate got the choice right and Debra and Yasmina got it wrong.

He also said he didn't want people who took safe choces - which was every one last week but Kate.

What he says, what he thinks and what he does though may not be linked.

Debra is a lot more capable. Often shows more business sense but then gets side tracked into an arguement.

Agree, it was the buggy v birthing pool all over again

And are you suggesting that Siralun's brain, mouth and hands aren't connected? lol

I think both Debra and Yasmina have been mostly awful throughout. I'm amazed they're both still here, especially Debra. How she escaped been fired all those times in the board room is beyond me, I think Sir Alan made a couple of bad decisions.

Debra really seems to have trouble taking other peoples ideas on board- she thinks a lot of herself as a leader, but doesn't really command any respect. She just comes across as pushy and overly aggressive, which would be ok if she had any decent ideas of her own.

Sir Alan and his lapdogs have already pointed out that people would have trouble working with her. Who would want to work with Debra with her attitude? She'd drive everyone mad!

Debra trampled all over Howard during the Liverpool/Manchester task - wouldn't allow him any chance to lead sales pitches.

Did she also refuse to let him be PM for the margate task?

Howard was a wimp though, you can't really blame her

Debra is currently visiting us in Australia, as she reports on Twitter. She's here for work, apparently, though here it looks as though she's managing to fit in a bit of leisure time as well:

Haha, this made me chuckle! Yasmina and Kate were the leading two all the way, iirc.

I am surprised someone dug this out, but her website claims she was the "star of The Apprentice" and she now clears remainders.

I dug it out just to give a Debra update, since she is briefly in my neck of the woods (albeit 2000 miles away). I looked for any old Debra thread rather than start a new one.

I thought your economy was doing rather better than requiring leftovers - which was what her previous employer also did.

I don't know enough about business to know whether clearing remainders is considered a long way down the business ladder. I've never even heard of such a business. It looks like it's her own business, so if it's successful I would give her a lot of credit for it.

Our economy is all about mining at the moment. The rest of it is pretty ordinary, so for all I know we have a lot of call for leftovers. It's interesting that she is in Perth, though. Sydney or Melbourne would be more usual to establish a business in this country.

Haven't watched that series yet - currently sitting on my Hard Drive ready for a marathon session.

People say it wasn't so good either, but at least she's entertaining for a boy to look at. The lack of eye-candy, bar Bilyana, who was only there for five minutes, has been one of the many disappointments about this series for me.

I like it a lot just because it's new for me. We have a channel here, BBC Knowledge, that just kept repeating series 1-4. Eventually I lost patience and bought bootleg DVDs of series 5-7 and Junior Apprentice 1 from someone in the UK. I'm up to the final episode of series 5, though I know who wins. I'm just relishing something I haven't see before.

How nice that she and Kate remain good friends after this long. That even looks like Kate in her Twitter photo.

Check out the thread which ranks all the series, you will find that you are a bit mistaken about the general opinion on that series.
