the "you're hired" finger was pointing at Yasmina

I'm pretty sure that for the final 2, they always film 2 different endings. I don't think Sir Alan will have actually made his decision "in real life" yet.

So it's not a giveaway as to who wins but still it was dumb to do that because most people who saw it probably don't know that 2 different endings are filmed, and now they think they know who's been hired and that they were spoiled.

Really I thought it was pointing at Kate!

He was pointing at the wall. Why would they need anyone else there to get that shot?

My daughter reckoned it was pointing at Yasmina but then she wants Yasmina to win and i want Kate to.
i thought it pointed to the left.but who knows.
if they film two different endings maybe they film his finger pointing two different ways.

As long as they don't film his fingers together in the sign of V for victory.

I have to correct myself too, I think Kate was sitting on the left, which I thought was where SA pointed his finger.

Going by the TV edit alone, I am really surprised that people say SA points at Yasmina.

When the camera was pointing at the finalists, Yasmina was sitting on the left, Kate on the right.

Whereas when the camera is on SA, he points to the left of the camera, meaning he's apparently pointing at Kate.

Going by the camera edit, you are absolutely right!

Till now no one knows who the winner is except SAS. The finalists will probably be told on Friday/Saturday.

I remember reading somewhere that in series 3, Kristina and Simon were told a few hours before filming the You're hired show. Kristina said in an interview that she didn't take it well. In the you're hired show, she did look as if she had been crying.

Two alternative endings have been filmed months before the decision has been made and the ending shown at the end of the last task has no relevance to the actual hiring.

As he's filmed saying you're hired to both of them there's two pictures to choose from. it tells you nothing not knowing which clip they used - as he hasn't decided yet there's nothing to tell.

Its more interesting why the last task is as it is. Its a copy in format of the cereal task - product, packaging, advert, present. Kate won that one, though her film wasn't the best. Why repeat the task - Kate either confirms her win or it looks a one-off last time? Whats the job in hand? Does it require taking a product through the same stages and presenting it? Are Yasmina or Kate's skills relevant to that? The cereals task showed Kate doing well at it and last week's shopping task showed she could pick projects and she is the one who has been better at managing teams - Yasmina though has had more wins as PM.

I read on here, earlier this week, though don't ask me which thread that some of SAS's 'Fired' points are stock-footage...now I'm not sure if they could manage that (suits and ties and the like) BUT anyway, on the matter in hand, as has been said it'll be Saturday before the producers even know whom he has selected, therefore which 'Hired' point to show.

Because Kate has only PM'd once which she won.

Really? I would have guessed that Alan Sugar would go for Kate.
I wonder how long Yasmina will stay in his employ before she gets bored of it if that is the case.

I hope AS goes for Kate out of the two. Although, if Debra could have convinced the Interviewers enough she was going to change her ways, then I am absolutely certain she would have been the best person for the job. I have grown to like Debra over the weeks because I could see her changing from that awful person she was at the beginning to someone who listens and wants to get on in life. I certainly hope the decision SA makes is the right one. Yasmina isn't in my view, the right person. I wouldn't trust her. Not sure why, but there's just something about her.

He definitely looks at, and points to, Yasmina, but seeing as he will let them know his final decision on Saturday, we can very well see another finger pointing on Sunday. In previous episodes though that fingerpointing trick always seems to work.

It would add a certain piquancy if Siralun didnt tell the girls who had won, just the producer - and told the girls to watch it on TV to find which of them had won!!!

If Kate volunteered to lead more she might have had more PM wins. Yasmina volunteered to be PM all 3 times that she led the team. The 1 time Kate led was when Sir Alan picked her out to do it for the sake of seeing more of her.

They do tend to mislead you with the pointing preview, and even then it isn't always clear where he is pointing.

I thought he was pointing slightly to the left, but my friend thought he was pointing slightly to the right.

I would have said that he was pointing at.... Kate. However, I do think that Yasmina will win.
