Weird plastic ring with new LCD TV
Ok ok, maybe a dumb question, but i just bought a new 32" LCD tv, its nothing fancy, but it was a good price. I bought an Acoustic Solutions 32" from Argos (Cat No: 529/3544 - £249.99).
The telly is great and the features, looks, and useability are spot on for the money paid, however one small thing confuses me.... With the accessories (remote control, instruction manual etc) there was a small white plastic ring, with a sort of clip on it, seems to fit around the remote control for some reason. What on EARTH is it for? Someone please help, its really confusing me! For anyone thinking: "why doesnt he RTFM?", simple answer, I did, and theres nothing about this weird plastic ring thing! Thanks in advance!

its so that if you have one of those cup holders, built into the arm of your chair for example, you can fit it inside, and use it as a remote control holder!!

Perhaps i will phone the manufacturer tomorrow, let them shed some light on it!
Be prepared to blank faces all round there then.Maybe it's a doohickey, or maybe an oojimaphlip. Certainly sounds like it. |

Obviously a 'pleasure aid' when watching those dodgy DVDs!
![]() I think John Currie's post is probably near the correct answer. Is there nothing in the manual to explain? |

my sony tv came with a similar plastic clip which fits into a hole at the bottom of the back of the tv in the middle. it is as described probably a cable tidy you have been given to keep the cables out of sight if you mount the tv on a wall for example. if it is what we suspect it will have a little peg on it and a matching hole low down on the back of the set at the back
