If you was Sir Alan who would you hire as well.

Think as a business man/woman rather than personal preferences

I would hire Kate beause i think she is the stronger candidate all round. I think Jasmina was lucky to be in their really, as i think Lorraine and even as much as i hate to say it but Debra may have been more competition.

Of the final two Yasmina...of all the candidates I really liked Paula

Yasmina ... she's more passionate and she's proved herself more than Kate

Yasmina without a doubt.

Yasmina without question. I've been losing interest in Kate for weeks. She's competent and pleasant to work with, but I'm not seeing the drive and the spark.

Not sure you're being fair to Yasmina - she led three times and won three times. Kate only led once, and although she had a victory I think it says something if at that stage you have only led a team once. James, Debra and Lorraine had all led twice at that point, and they all lost at least once. So, as a business person, Yasmina certainkly achieves results.

On a personal level, I'd work better with Kate - as she is calmer and doesn't get snappy like Yasmina does. But, to me, the best candidate overall was Lorraine. She made the right call on so many occasions but just wasn't listened to.

I would go for Yasmina too, but I am not really sure why. I think Kate is probably full of much more personality in real life than we see. I just can't get her awful pitch for the food thing out of my head. And I really like Yasmina.

I don't think Yasmina should have made the final, so will be disappointed if she wins. Sir Alan did make a mistake in firing Debra. She is young, a genuine 'apprentice' capable of learning, and I think she has started to change.

Yasmina definitely. I was seriously put off of Kate tonight and her disturbing misogynist views...

Yasmina most definately. She's demonstrated her capability when she won 3 tasks as PM.

Paula.

Kate seems to have put her first class pyshc degree to realy good use and so could edge out Yasmina.

Yasmina was my tip from the start but I slowly went off her. Lorraine ended up as my fav and I think a Lorraine Kate final would have been interesting as the two are very very far apart in personality and business style.

Horrible maybe but not totally off the mark.

People saying Paula amaze me. Ridiculous.

I don't like Yasmina, and I find Kate boring. Debra and James would've been a more enteraining final; more pesonality.

I agree that would have been a stonking final for the viewer, I would have loved that.

Hmm... personally I lose respect for someone who feels the need to slag off their own gender to try and makes themselves look good.

1 vs 1, no silly old contestants. Just put them both in a room, Debra arguing with James' jokes

Yasmina ia a "better apprentice" but I found Paula very personable from what I saw, and not to mention easy on the eye. I liked her and make no apologies about it

I would pick Yasmina too. I think she is an all rounder - she has drive and ambition, she can lead a team and is good at communicating with others. She has also had good business experience and seems keen to learn.

Kate is good but she just seems a bit boring and bland to me.

I would pick Debra out of all of them. There is no denying she can be a right nasty cow but she could do the job. Kats is text book good but not so much when delaing with real life - sometimes you just have to make it up as you go along. Yasmina should not still be there as far as im concerned. SHe was just lucky there were worse than her on several ocassions

debra was SAS perfect apprentice. He made a big mistake in firing her. cos she is young with loads to learn yet so ambitious she is excellent at sales, pitches everything.

Kate cant handle criticism so I dont see how she can handle the the job of being SAS aprentice, she dosent feel like she has anything to learn so whats the point??

Yasmina wins this hands down. No contest.

I can't believe how many people on this thread have underestimated Kate.

I think out of all the candidates, she's shown that she can survive personal attacks about her personal life with Phil and still focus on her goal to work for SA.

She did incredibly well in the interviews and came out with A+'s.

But somehow to the majority, and even SA himself, that just isn't possible.

I.e. We must, absolutely must find a negative in her before the final.

No doubt one or two.....or a whole minefield will be found before the final.

But if so, I will be seriously questioning why that they only found the negativity right at the end of nothing more than a positive outcome throughout.

I'm with you - I do get the 'too perfect' thing...but then it is also a fallacy.

Yasmina because while Kate is perfectly competent and will make a great employee for most people, Yasmina has a better record from the tasks and has more capacity to be authentically good in terms of what SAS is looking for. I sense that Kate has good plumage but not that much greatness.. kinda like she follows the rules, stays within the box.
