She looked very attractive on You're Fired - just proves what Kate knew all along - a bit of slap works wonders.

Seriously I felt quite bathetic when, in response to compliments about her appearance, she acknowledged the makeover and admitted that without the specs she could see very little.

I thought she looked lovely
and is it just me or has she lost quite a bit of weight?

I thought she looked lovely and very nice too. I can't believe some of the negative comments about her appearance - they really aren't justified in my opinion, she is lovely looking.

Lorraine very beautiful, i dont buy the kate jealousy thing at all all women know they can look attractive with their hair and make up done.

Lorraine always makes me want to reach into my television and give her a great big hug!

She looked beautiful tonight, but I hope it was just for the occasion - she shouldn't feel the need to glamourise herself to make herself feel better.

And evening Ignazio - how's my bit of cyber totty *mwah*

Think she was trying to be funny - she's said elsewhere that she normally wears contacts and no doubt had them in.

From some angles she reminded me of Felicity Huffman (Lynette in Desparate Housewives).

She looked really gorgeous. Infact id go as far to say very attractive. She actually has some lovely features. I do love her with her glasses on and as Jo Brand said it's 'her' but with them off she looked very striking. What a big transformation

She looked amazing, I was stunned at how lovely her eyes looked, and how much softer her face appeared with her hair like that. Lorraine is the type of women that needed to remember she could look that good - I like the fact that she isn't looks obsessed, but it shows an increase in confidence for her to have a makeover like she did.

She looked very lovely tonight. Also of the final 5 I found her story the most touching and inspiring.

I hope she goes on and makes the best of her life.

Lorraines Makeover went down a treat with the audience. I thought she looked stunning. A lot to be proud of. I wish her all the best.

Agree - but I warmed to her self deprecating response.

From a side view I thought she resembled that of Davina McCall, or McColl.

I can't really agree that she was either stunning, or amazing. She was still very plain looking in my view.

Not that this should matter though, she was a good contestant but not quite good enough.

The eye make-up, the plucked eyebrows and the hair worked wonders! Well done to BBC Hair and Make-up

Fair enough - beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but I do wonder what Kate looks like without the slap.

Even more equine I'd wager.

She did look nice. I thought Debra looked a lot 'softer' as well

First time I have seen the word 'bathetic' on DS forum - well done, though I think it applies more to her words than your feelings - still, I like it, - takes me back to my English A level.

She looked very nice indeed and quite relaxed.
I think this show has done her a bit of good and I believe she will get on very well in the future. Bless her.
Her little girls are gorgeous!

I'll take that as a compliment. and stick to the definition of bathetic as being swayed by sentiment.

I did indeed feel quite mushy to see the ugly duckling turn into a swan.

SHe looked as nice as Lorraine could ever look. I imagine there was a lot of work put into that appearance. Nuff said.

Lorraine looked ten times better than some of the efforts from 'Ten Years Younger' maybe she's been hiding her light under a bushel!
