Personally I don't like the SECC as a venue but have to suffer it to see the bigger bands. Its just a typical exhibition space...its not nicknamed the big red shed for nothing !
Its a large featureless venue, sound quality not great, seats are of the temporary and moveable variety. Car parks are a rip off at £5 and difficult to get out of after concerts ( so usually park in the streets around Finnieston )...and of course you can be a lot further back from the stage than you would be at the barras / carling(o2) / abc..although there are usually screens.
On a positive note not as much low flying beer as the barras




but at least I'm not up in the gods.
