James and His One Liners

Just heard him now on Radio 5. The presenter was asking how he'd describe himself. He said, "I'm the good one and of the other two (Debra and Lorraine) one of them is bad and the other is ugly but I'm not going to say which is which."

Both other girls were present at the time. I don't think he intended to be rude, but judging by the press Lorraine's receivesd about her looks over the past few weeks it was a ridiculous thing to say.

After listening to him the past few weeks, I'm not sure if he really inteneds to joke with his one liners. I think he has difficulty in expressing himself as a mature adult eg. the willy wonka comment when asked why he should get the job.

Did he really say this? Nasty.

James was the one who most surprised me last night. I couldn't believe how badly he came across. He went from someone I liked a lot and rated, to being a total prat. He seems to be very good at dishing it out, not so great when he's at the receiving end of it. Came across as petulant and unprofessional. I'm glad he's gone.

I think he is intending to joke, not offend... unfortunately he isn't really articulate enough or has the natural comic timing to actually pull it off without either offending or coming across as a bit of a prat.

Yes - he really said it. Like I said, I don't think he meant to be offensive, but it shows real immaturity to make a remark like that.

Immaturity and really poor judgement. But shows his own insecurity if he feels the need to make nasty remarks publicly at other people's expense.

Maybe he's still smarting from the rollicking he got in the interviews. He's not joking much about that, is he?

I was during the show and up to yesterday's episode. Didn't like what I saw of him during the interviews or on YF.

He admitted himself he didnt expect to be in the interview stage, He knew he was found out. Nice guy and obviously has a brain just needs to engage it a bit more

During the interviews I saw why he wasn't right for the job at all, it was incredibly foolish for him to fill out the application like that. He really does suffer from foot in mouth syndrome though and does need to watch what he's saying going on what you say abut this interview.

Re: The Jo Brand comment, she had just called him a knobhead!Tit for tat, she can take it. I thought all three came across well on YF last night.

However, I really like James and I think the series would not have been anywhere near as entertaining without him.

Oh no question, he was hilarious. Just a shame he exposed himself as such a t*at at the 11th hour.

I think the emotional pressure had got to him by the interview stage, which was a bit of a shame, as mixed with his silly answes on the application form he didnt come across well.
