I waver about Sophie. She's clearly quite a sweet, good natured girl who doesn't take things too much to heart or take herself too seriously. She's also quite funny in an understated way and not given to being malicious about other HM's, even Freddie, who she doesn't really understand and regularly nominates.

However, she is too easily led, lazily taking the line of least resistance and "going along" with the group which sadly is Lisa, Kris and Karly, a more malevolent and damaging triumvirate it would be hard to find. I wish Sophie had the courage to be a bit more independent, stand up for herself and make more of an effort with those HMs who she would not naturally hang with.

Despite her modelling career, it seems that Sophie is quite timid, happy to hide behind the protection of the group rather than embrace the opportunity to expand her social and intellectual horizons while in the house. There are moments when she seems to try engaging with those outside her comfort zone, but she keeps scurrying back to the poisonous clutches of Kris et al when it comes to nomination day.

It's deeply frustrating - Sophie could be a way better housemate than she currently is, if only she would assert herself a bit more. She "disappears" from the house narrative for ages at a time and is really too much of a "bit part player". Perhaps, as numbers fall she might "up her game" and fulfill some of her potential?

I think one of Kris or Lisa in particular needs to go before the house dynamic shifts enough though.

Loving Sophie tonight

Phil, I completely agree.

I think Kris is the main problem. She does seem easily led by the likes of Karly and Lisa too, but I feel it's Kris bringing her down the most. Away from him, when she's with someone like Rodrigo, she appears much more fun, animated and carefree. With Kris, she's just - well, dull.

I think she's very sweet-natured, but naive, and her 'relationship' with Kris is doing her no favours. The sooner he goes, the better.

Really enjoyed the stuff with her and Rodrigo tonight

She's definitely my favourite now- lately I have mainly been interested in seeing the likes of Freddie and Marcus staying in to stop the show becoming predictable but Sophie is much nicer than either of them and it's nice seeing someone just enjoying the experience. Whilst I'm not fond of some of the others she's close to (Lisa, Kris) and totally agree that she can be too easily led, at the same time her shyness and timidity is part of what makes her likeable

Another good one for Sophie, and her odds are shortening even further! She's around 14/1 with most people now!

Sophie is up for eviction this week
Got a bad feeling she could go as she is the pretty blonde.

From the Sun:

Quote:
“Kris was humming during his punishment and Sophie let out an exclamation of surprise when she farted.”

I shouldn't laugh, but someone has been put up for eviction because they are shocked they just farted

I definitely think Sophie will stay, and I really hope she does too. Kris will go - Will be interesting to see what she's like without him

I like to think it's a given she'll stay, but she's the pretty blonde and she's got a 'romance' going on, so I'm worried. Probably over nothing, but I don't know, instinct just tells me she'll go.

I really hope Kris goes - if he does it'll do wonders for Sophie I reckon.

I think Kris is a certainty for eviction this week. He's very unpopular and out of his "team", he's the bitchiest and doesn't seem to have any depth to his character. Sophie will be absolutely fine, and I can't wait to see her face when she is revealed safe. She'll be terrified at the thought of eviction, especially considering she's a pretty blonde and is the only female up against the lads.

Still, though, with Kris being evicted I can see Sophie gaining some popularity.

Kris being evicted is far & away the BEST thing that could have happened to Sophie.

Definitely. Kris going will be great for her, I think.

I'm voting for Kris. I feel kind of bad seeing as he's probably the closest to Sophie, but he's been an idiot and as I keep saying, away from him she seems to really open up, become much more carefree and chatty.

I am very slightly worried for her for the reason superstar111 mentioned, she should be fine though and it would be lovely for her to get the boost of surviving an eviction

Sophie now as far out as 50/1 to be evicted

She's safe

I don't trust the odds this week, they are too odd and are fluctuating alot. I just keep comparing this to Stephs eviction last year and it's too similar

I know what the odds and polls are saying, and I know, looking at them, that it's pretty much certain Sophie's staying.

But I dunno - I just have this horrible niggly feeling she'll go

I disagree. Steph left after week one, during which she'd managed to bodge a challenge and had been regularly criticized by Mario & Lisa.

We barely got to know Steph, and what we saw wasn't particularly helpful to her, so the preconceptions about the stereotype had a much greater impact on the voting pattern.

This time it's different - Sophie has survived sufficiently long for people to look beyond the immediate prejudice against "big-boobed blonde bimbos" and give a more considered evaluation to her character.

She herself doesn't rate her chances highly and, given past voter trends, has given a pretty accurate assessment of why she might be vulnerable, but her position in the house is one of the most secure at the moment, IMO.

i hope sophie is safe she is a great girl and doesn't deserve to go

Loving Sophie more and more, last night was the first time I felt really sad during the whole show, and it was when Sophie was drunk telling Kris how she felt. It was made obvious then, to me at least, that Kris was using Sophie and that he didn't like her like she liked him. I for one, hope he goes this week!

On a brighter note, Sophie's averaging around 12/1, and this time last week she was at 25/1.

She has a right show at winning this now I think!

Great that she's safe. It's definitely been a good week her- she's clear favourite for top female now with most bookies!

The next week will be crucial now that Kris has gone to see how she reacts. Hopefully she won't be too down for too long and we'll start seeing more and more of her sweet, fun side- though there will probably be some more bitchiness towards Marcus and Halfwit too.

Sophie's up for eviction this week !
I just hope Lisa/Karly are up with her!
I never thought Id say that as I loved Karly at one point too

Me too- otherwise she's gone

Totally unfair in my opinion but they are desperate to avoid Marcus and Freddie going up against each other

I think it's Siavash and Freddie they don't want
Marcus will go if he's up with Sophie and Siavahs!
I just hope Team Lisa show they care and vote Noirin and Marcus, although I like Noirin too :9
