Yeah, that was really noticable how they cut down all the great advice he was giving Noirin (and she seemed to be taking it in) and just left the "you need to get laid" comment. It's like they're scared to show someone actually being intelligent on the highlights. For my money, Marcus is the smartest most perceptive guy in there.

Sadly I really think it's going to be Halfwit versus Marcus next week thanks to Lisa and friends, and Wolverine will go. Enjoy him while you can...
Not only are they afraid to show an intelligent conversation but also anything that doesn't fit into how they want the housemates to be percieved. Therefore Marcus must always be seen as the grubby perv regardless of what he is actually like.

My thoughts exactly. Marcus was one of my favourites on launch night. I went off him as time wore on but now I've completely revised my opinion and he's one of my favourites again.

Unfortunately, unless there's some kind of twist he could easily go next week. I think his only hope is if enough people nominate Lisa next week to put her in the frame too.

Regards

Julian

Well, if the nominations spoiler is true (and it has been every week) then it's good news for Marcus this week.

Marcus is one of my faves now definitely, would rather watch him anyday over Kris/Sophie/Lisa. I reckon he is quite sweet really somewhere under all his hair! Glad he's safe this week

He'll probably be up next week with Freddie but if he, Freddie and Siavash nom the same way then they could be joined by Lisa and Kris

That is the storyline BB has created for him

I loved that *f*cking useless* comment from him, from under the blanket, about Sree last night.

Another Marcus fan here! He seems to be the only 'normal' HM IMO, as in the only one who can see what's going on and has the guts to comment on it without flipping out or acting like a massive drama queen! Everyone else bar Freddie and Siavash is either a vacuous fake or a massive ****!

Will be a shame to see him go next week, pretty sure that's how things will play out...

Finally got my pc back from repairs so I can rejoin the thread. Have wanted to comment sooo much but haven't be able to

Marcus continues to delight and surprise me. Throws himself fully into the tasks, encourages others and won't let them quit. Has sussed Lisa and gang out and speaks a lot of sense about the other housemates.

I loved his painting eariler, very intriquing, and shows how deep he thinks about things. I'm still not sure what he meant!

Would like to see him in the final but I'm worried he will be up against Freddie next week Hopefully there will be another HM in the frame as well and as long as that's not Saivash he could be alright.

I'll try and be optimistic

another long hard day for marcus by the sound of it

he spends so much time standing up to the repulsive
and supporting the rest

but all we ever see on the HLs is BBs pre-ordained perv role
it's so annoying

he's easily the best HM this year

Yes, it's frustrating but I hope against hope that the general public will see past the BB editing. They do show some good sides to him. He is great in the tasks, is not part of the clique, and some of his words of wisdom have been shown.

Hi zofo,

well I'm sitting watching with some 'general public' and they love Marcus.

Personally I think this 'argument/warning' will help him gain popularity.

Call me cynical but what's the betting that BB find some way of stopping Marcus from nomming to guarantee he's up for eviction??

That was the best moment of the series so far- great to see someone sticking up for themselves in the diary room rather than just back tracking at the mention of a warning

He made some excellent points

Glad to hear that Aeshna

I loved the Diary room clash with BB. He so owned them. I think they gave him a warning cos they lost face and BB doesn't like anyone talking back to them. Loving the main forum love for him at the moment too.

Woo-hoo Marcus for the win!
