New series - just for couples?
Today's Mirror claims that the new series will be for couples only. The public will be able to vote to split up the couples and see if they stay faithful once their partner has left.
I think that this will ruin the show, keep it the way it is!!! |

Here's the report:
"BIG BROTHER: A MIXED DOUBLE
BIG Brother has a surprise up his sleeve - the next series will be for couples. TV bosses want to put five real-life partners into the Big Brother house. The public will then be able to vote to split them up - and see if they stay faithful once their partners have gone. It also means some might even be tempted to vote out their own partners. A TV insider said: "The idea is to spice the show up and stop it becoming stale. We're not desperate for people to have sex on camera. But having real-life couples increases the chances of some Big Brother passion." The idea is thought to have come from new reality TV show Temptation Island. Single men and women try to corrupt four unmarried couples into cheating on each other in the controversial programme. The show - which won 16million viewers in the US version - will be shown on Sky One in the autumn and later on Channel 4. The insider said: "The Paul and Helen saga did wonders for viewing figures." An average of four-and-a-half million people tuned in for each episode of this year's Big Brother - with Friday's final show attracting an estimated 8.5million viewers " |

I agree, having couples would ruin the show IMO. The whole point is that you have 10 or 11 people who have never met each other before. PLEASE ch 4, do NOT change the format!.

Lets hope NOT! It would absolutly ruin the format! Anyone have an email address for channel 4? lets all contact them and find out if its true and if it is tell them not to make it happen! It wouldnt work, it would lower ratings! I like the idea of 10 people that dont know each other. I also like the love story but only if its 1 or 2 that started in the house, NOT 5 that already existed!
