Creative Zen X-Fi --- any good?
Trollheart

Thinking of going for one of these, but I'm wondering if they're over-hyping the "crystal clear sound" claims. Is it really that good? Will my normal MP3 files actually sound a lot better? It's only 16 gig, and my Zen Vision:M is 30, so not sure if it's worth the upgrade?
Anyone who owns one or has experience with or of one, can you please advise?
Also, these SD cards that they take: are they special Creative-made ones, or will any brand work? And are they special "music" ones, or just ANY SD?
Thanks for any help!

The player accepts any SD or SDHC card, the brand is irrelevant.

Loads of reviews here on Amazon - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Creative-X-F...4223250&sr=8-2

I have an X-Fi and it's ok but the in-ear headphones have to be a perfect fit to avoid tinny sound. The various sound settings don't seem to have any effect at all. Video playback is good and the conversion/transfer software is useful. The supplied audio transfer application is useless which seems to be the norm for Creative. Their software disc killed my last Creative player stone dead.

I don't think it's worth the money if you have a Zen Vision M already.

You're better off going for the 32GB Creative Zen.
