Requesting Remote Control codes
Widget76

Hi all. I recently got given a Humax Freesat HDR as a present and am linking it up to a Grundig GU22DVD 22" LCD TV with inbuilt dvd player. I have tried to programme the Humax remote to be able to control the tv and worked my way through all of the grundig codes in the humax manual in the tv code list and even tried the code in the tv/vcr/dvd combo section to no avail (there was no Grundig entry in the tv/DVD combo section of the list).

Does anyone out there know what code works for this model of tv?

Grundig is just a badge on cheap gear, so try any of the TV/DVD combo codes (if there are any), they are pretty well all the same cheap set, with loads of different badges on the front. I suspect there's only one manufacturer making combined TV/DVD's, probably Vestel?.

That doesnt surprise me at all as when I got this tv and then went on the grundig website to register it, the website didnt even seem aware this model of tv existed.

Grundig went bust about five years ago, the entire company folded. For a while before that, and afterwards, the name was used by Dixons on their cheap stuff, in place of the usual Logic and Matsui rubbish.

The name has been used by various companies since, currently (I think) it's 100% owned by Beko, but Alba still have rights to use the name for a while yet.

I've just tried all the Vestel codes as you suggested and none of them worked.

It's quite likely that you won't find a code, it's not a TV, it's a combo, and they tend to use completley different codes.
