Cameron ... One Of 'Heat' Magazine's Stars Of 2003.

From 'Heat' magazine, issue of 20/12/03 ..... here are a few quotes...

- Does that still happen a lot then, you getting recognized?

Yes, no matter where I am. It makes everywhere seem very local. If I'm walking down the street in London and folk come up and chat, it's like being at home.....

- So, has Cherise been to visit yet? (the girl that won BB Africa and whom Cameron got friendly with whilst in the SA House.)

Yes... She went home this morning

- Really? And did she have a nice time?

Yes, Although she was quite busy working with the Zambian Tourist Board.

- It wasn't just to see you then?

Not just to see me, no.

- So are you girfriend and boyfriend now?

No, we're not.

- Have you snogged?

[Starts giggling] No, we haven't. [Pauses] Not in this country.

- So it happened when you went over for the SA final?

Er, no. I mean, we were certainly enjoying each other's company, but no, nothing happened.

- But you just said you snogged. So what was it? Just a kiss?

Well, a little kiss, yeah.

- And when are you going to see her again?

Probably February. I'm hoping to get over to Zambia then. But I can't see a romantic relationship developing between us two; it's more likely for something to blossom in this country for me.

- Have you seen Steph lately?

No, I haven't. I was talking with her recently, but she's busy starting up her own business. We've not met for a wee while.

- Have you made any New Year's resolutions?

Not as such, but what I've decided to do is try and have as much fun next year as I've had this year.

From the Sunday Mail, 28/12/03, another end of year interview with the Orkney lad ....

'WHEN people ask me if 2003 has been a rollercoaster ride, I tell them that's not an accurate description... because I haven't experienced any downs since getting involved in Big Brother.

After the show, a ferry company laid on a special VIP lounge and invited 30 of my family and friends to make the journey home to Orkney with me.

There was a band playing, a buffet and a massive cake. And we arrived to a pipe band and thousands of people waiting in the harbour at Kirkwall.

The street party that followed included an open-air dance and live music.

It was one of the most fantastic days ofmy life, surrounded by the people I love. I cannot understand folk who go on a reality TV show then complain that their privacy has been invaded.

I guess that's why I enjoyed myself on Big Brother. I'm pretty much an open book.

My audition tape showed a beautiful Orkney sunset, then a tour of my house......

When I got the call to say I was in, I was at a friend's house and had to act normally so that no one would suspect.

Making new friends and living a different life for nine weeks was just fantastic. I don't just keep in touch with the BBhousemates but also many of the folk who worked behind the scenes, including those from the African Big Brother which I was flown out to join in with.

Since the show finished, I have been kept busy with many new opportunities.

After panto, I've got various meetings with TV people who have some exciting plans for me.

To be honest, I hope it doesn't all come to an end. But if it does, I will be quite prepared to go back to my old life. I will always have my memories of 2003.

And if I achieve my ambition to marry and have a family, I will tell my children about all the wonderful things that happened to me this year and tell them to seize every opportunity....'

They hit the headlines in 2003.
