Indeed, ever care about them in the first place? No, not me.

If she releases an album, as she almost certainly will by Christmas, then it's likely to sell more copies than just about any other female singer on the planet could hope to do with their album this year, particularly in the States. So win or lose she remains the main event.

That and the nature of her instant global stardom, which will go down as an internet history milestone, all makes her a significant story, and her 'breakdown', swearing, and having a cat flown down from Scotland, can only add to her growing diva status rather than detract from it.

As good as they were, and I was impressed by their final night performance, Diversity will be doing Pontins after Christmas. And as soon as the cute kid grows up, which will happen fast, and they can no longer chuck him around like a rag doll, they're finished.

Well, I think the reason why Diversity are keeping a low profile might be because they're probably training for the Royal Variety Performance. They won't want to be taking anything on that's going to spoil their training. They'll want to keep their act for the Royal Variety as polished and sharp as possible, and the only way they can do this, is to not take anything on before their big night comes.

Edit: I forgot to say that Susan's got the freedom to take up whatever offers are coming her way now, so she can afford to be in the news.

Looks like she is going to be part of the live tour now. Let's hope she leaves her dress alone after her performance though, put me off my food that night.

It's real shame IMO that she's (albeit unintentionally) stole their thunder

I certainly care about Diversity!

There are people on forums like this, myself included, who would do well to note some of the comments in this article and think twice before hitting submit.....

Apparently Diversity and Flawless have been signed for a movie. That's a long way from Butlins. Just because they are not selling all of their stories to the tabloids, doesn't mean they will be any less successful. They have great careers in front of them. They are also still working on finishing school as well, you have to give them some credit.

If she has stole their thunder, it's probably because they've let her. Once they've appeared on the Royal Variety, they'll likely start being in the news about different things. We should be seeing them in the paper after they've finished their act on the final night.

The Royal Variety Show isn't until the middle of December. I would imagine Diversity will do other things before then.

However, it does seem that it is Susan Boyle who the world is interested in. She has been in the German newspapers every day since the final. Last Sunday they simply reported that Susan Boyle had come second - there was no real mention of who had actually won.

Susan also has the advantage that she has apparently employed a top manager who was responsible for U2 and one of her nieces is a media and entertainment lawyer. So she is very well equipped to gain all she can from this.

True, and it's scary!

Diversity and Susan Boyle are both incredibly gifted, IMO.
All the best to them.

Ah right. I thought it might have been a lot sooner than that. In that case, they might very well do something else once they feel their act is polished enough for perfection. I'm also glad that she's signed up with someone who won't fleece her in any way at all. I like Simon Cowell, but something tells me that he might have slightly took advantage, a bit, of the fact that Susan's not as sharp as she should be.

I think Diversity were brilliant and wish them success too. But dance acts don't have the same appeal or public attraction as singers do.

I wish Susan a successful singing career and deserves to be where she is now after all this time waiting for that moment. Good luck Susan.

I see Piers Morgan has written an article about the whole thing.

Interesting article but, a bit self serving at times. At least he acknowledged the role of the press and admitted that had he still been at the Mirror he would have done the same. One sentence made me go "Oh FFS you wally":

Quote:
“To my shock and dismay, though, there were a few boos in the audience when I suggested in my critique that she should win the show.”

Why can he not realise that it was his critique they were booing. What did he expect? He had crowned his winner before the last two acts had even performed. Of course, people would be annoyed. But he seems to see it as if they were booing the thought that SB should win, when they were booing his crass behaviour and lack of impartiality.

How sad! posters can be, someone asks a civil question and like politics it become a chance for those who don't like Susan Boyle to attack her, how childish!

It is going to be difficult to keep up media PR for Diversity until the Royal Variety, that is life, they are not going to issue a CD perhaps not even a DVD like George did (a lesson may have been learned there) Even if the dance group went professional, how could they finance themselves what venues could they do?

It wasn't his critique that caused the boos because they had cheered earlier when he said he would love to see Stavros Flatley perform at the RVS and they also cheered when Amanda said she wanted them to win, who was incidently even more impartial than Piers in her comments.
There were also boos the evening before when Piers had said Susan was his favourite, when he was asked.
It was definitely a statement against Susan by a fraction of the audience. It doesn't matter though because, like Paul Potts who is a top star here in Germany, Susan's future probably lies more abroad than in Britain.
