Seems Good News that Susan is going to have separate successful management away from Syco records, but better still is that Susan's niece is a music lawyer, that is such a relief that she will be fully offered the right advice and with being family have full understanding what is best for her.

I've heard of him ; he's a very shrewd businessman. There's no reason Susan can't do very well financially in the coming year.

Newspaper people always find Simon Cowell's position confusing. i.e. they confuse him as artist management, which he isn't. He is the head of a record label. He would never have anything todo with the day to day accountancy for any artist on Syco.

Good for her - sounds as though her niece has her head screwed on and she should come out of it all with a lucrative career and also not be pushed down the route that so many of Syco's artists get pushed. (ie lift musak )

I think it's a good idea to have independently appointed management.

Though for Susan, time is the most precious commodity just now. I doubt there is much to be debated, Syco will probably have a pretty good idea of what tracks are going on the album (all well known showtunes, no doubt) and it's just a case of getting it done and getting the album out there.

She only has one album in her but she could sell enough to set her up for a very comfortable life. Not sure about her UK sales potential now that she didn't win, she ought to do OK. But it's the US that seems to be her captive audience and she needs to hope they are still with her.
