As for the wuestion I think larger adversaries make more of an impact when we first see them but I think smaller adversaries can be better BECAUSE they look less threatening so we dont expect them to be bad.

On the question, I don't think bigger is necessarily scarier. I found the Vashta Nerada much scarier than the devil from The Satan Pit, and you don't get much more different in size than them!

I'll hold off until the confusion is settled, but in regard to the question, size doesn't matter, as Mr. Giles taught us in Buffy: even tiny villains need to be taken seriously.

As for the question ... no, I don't think it matters. It's the personality/the creepiness/the effectiveness of the design and the execution which makes the difference, imo. And how well written the character is.
