Hurray for clean sweeps!

OK, starting to struggle a bit now regarding who to choose...

03) The Ood (various episodes)
05) Father's Day: The Reapers
06) The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances - The Tula Zombies
07) Bad Wolf / The Parting Of The Ways: Emperor Dalek & Fleet
10) The Impossible Planet / The Satan Pit: Satan

Resorting to the Ood as I get Muttley's point about them not really being villians as such.

Thanks RK

Old votes:
The Ood (various episodes)
The Cybermen
Silence In The Library / Forest Of The Dead: Vashta Nerada

New Votes:

Father's Day: The Reapers - very effective but they weren't really the central element of the story in a way...it was more about the interactions of Rose/Pete/The Doctor etc than them.

The Daleks (various episodes) - It's getting quite tough at this point, sometimes they are more effective than others, and in the examples left I think they are at their best, so the more generic kind of Dalek has to be next for me.

Right. I think my internet connection is properly back now. And as I arrive I see we've changed the name. That's going to be hard for me as I don't watch Corrie!

Ok. I'm amazed I'm still surviving in prediction game but it's getting close. Apologies for missing a few rounds, I've missed this game!

Here are my votes this time.

05) Father's Day: The Reapers
09) The Girl In The Fireplace: Clockwork Droids
10) The Impossible Planet / The Satan Pit: Satan
13) Human Nature / The Family Of Blood: Scarecrow Soldiers
17) Silence In The Library / Forest Of The Dead: Vashta Nerada {shadows / skeletons in spacesuits}

wow, it is getting harder.

The question - I echo other comments that scary has sometimes been something that hasn't even been seen. The smaller enemies - even things like the Isolus in Fear Her - (I mean the resulting ability to remove people and store them in picture form) can be quite scary. (Just not well realised in that particular episode IMO)
Vashta Nerada, Midnight creature etc, all scary. The devil in the Satan pit... not scary at all.

This also brings up to me what I wish they would do (or rather stop doing) with the daleks. There was great pains to discuss how 4 daleks would defeat millions of Cybermen, and yet every time they want the daleks to appear a real menace there has to be a whole fleet of thousands of them. 4 daleks could really cause some trouble and just once in a while they should be allowed to without resorting to CGI fleet mode again.

Ahhh it's good to be properly back.

Old:
04) Dalek Caan (various episodes)

13) Human Nature / The Family Of Blood: Scarecrow Soldiers
16) The Sound Of Drums / Last Of The Timelords: Harold Saxon / The Master (John Simm)

New:
19) The Stolen Earth / Journey's End: Davros (Julian Bleach) - it was cool to see him again, but as I've said before, by the time he appeared we'd seen the Daleks so much that he wasn't all that scary to me. I guess that means I should have begun voting for him sooner...
05) Father's Day: The Reapers - what Muttley said

plus

The Emperor Dalek and Fleet
The Ood though they aren't villains just victims.

As for the question...

Oh I am having to try so hard not to vote tactically and to give my real votes! I knew I should not have tried the prediction game lol

Ok, my new two:
Ken and Deirdre

No? Oh ok then...

05) Father's Day: The Reapers - loved the episode, like the concept but we're just getting to that stage now aren't we?
04) Dalek Caan (various episodes) - not as menacing as other examples of one off daleks still left in! Had a long debate with myself about Caan vs. generic daleks...

Auto thanks RK
