Maybe you should have used detestable instead of stupid in your title, especially as it was more accurate to convey your feelings.”

You're probably right. "Stupid" was not a good choice of words to portray my unhappiness at her possible selection.

Actually, that's a sound principle. But I do hate to see Margaret go. Is she really going to finish a PhD in papyrology? Personally I thought she'd make an excellent Speaker in the House of Commons.

Well, I can hardly agree with your point about the Glasgow twang because thats how I speak BUT if its true I'm very disappointed. She's a c*ck!

She's far too timid, but welcome to Digital Spy

Oh, I think she's quietly formidable, and could silence the House just by raising one eyebrow. But she may be pearls before swine.

She is the sort of person I would pay to have tea with. I'm an avid Nick & Margaret fan. Both exceptionally decent people. Something we are sadly lacking nowadays in the UK.

They should have Sarah Willingham, one of Raymond Blanc's inspectors in "The Restaurant".

So she was assaulted rather than kidnapped. But it was seen as very dodgy up here.”

Thanks for that She does sound a bit dodgy I'm sure Margaret has a squeaky clean record!!

Enlightening!”

My God! Being a woman you'd think she'd be more sympathetic to employees getting pregnant! She sounds really nice and a wonderful replacement for Margaret doesn't she Margaret has more class in her little finger - this woman isn't fit to clean Margaret's shoes!

Thats what I love about her, she can drop a reference to greek classical literature in her observations, or make a comment about the quality of education at a top university with such ease and deftness. She's virtually irreplaceable.

To be honest, I don't believe any of the speculation about who's going to replace Margaret. It's far too soon for that. I know Siralan wants to do the next series but I'm sure he's aware that he may find he can't do it himself with his new position so I doubt a replacement for Margaret will have been chosen yet.

[quote=jjackson42;32904628]Out of her depth? Au contraire!! She runs a 50Million empire (Ultimo) and has won numerous awards for her entreprenureal skills, etc.

I think you may be a little too keen to believe the Michelle Mone hype, this is where here real skills lie, in creating a rush of publicity.
It is very difficult to track down exactly how her company is really doing but if you check out the newspaper extracts below and consider that her business was launched in 1999 -10 years ago, I don't see a hugely successful company- especially when she needs to export to the USA. I would expect her profits to drop considerably this year.

"In March 2002, Mrs Mone was 15 minutes from bankruptcy, salvaging the company only by putting up her house and her life-savings and borrowing £100,000 from the millionaire entrepreneur, Tom Hunter.

This year, (2004) her company, MJM International, announced a modest profit of £51,646

17 August 2008
MJM, which publishes only abbreviated accounts, made a retained profit of £231,913 for the year to the end of April 2007 and Mone, who featured in the BBC television series The Apprentice: You're Fired, said the figures were "considerably better" at the pre-tax level.

MJM has grown its range from the original gel-filled bra to having eight brands and employing 38 staff".

I actually think they should cancel the series till she returns.

I really Like Magaret. Her grey hair is also awesome. I really want to meet her!

Yes - 2 more years of excellent growth/expansion, etc.

She'se 2 busy for the Apprentice - by her own admission.

I quite like Michelle, even bought one of her bra's, but asked to be taken off her mailing list after she decided to employ that complete waste of column inches Peaches Geldof as a model. However I can't see her taking on the job surely she is too busy with her own business; I'm sure Siralan will bring someone in he has worked with in the past - like Margaret was.

Michelle Mone must be a workaholic because she also runs seminars for 'women in business'
because two friends of mine went to one of them about a year ago!

Ghastly woman.

A 'showbiz' selection. It should be one of Sir Alan's long serving and trusted servants.

You can absolutely guarantee that neither Michelle Mone or Karen Brady will be taking over from Margaret.
