A Very British Cover-up

Fans of Torchwood's Gareth David-Lloyd will be happy to know that he's starring in a new independent short film from writer/director Ian Smith called "A Very British Cover-up."

Gareth notes on his official Web site:

I am really excited about this new role. Its definitely one people won't forget in a hurry! Its very different from any other part I have played of late. The script is very funny and it's great to be working with such a talented crew. People have been extremely generous in giving their time and resource for nothing to make what I am sure will be a very entertaining film.

Gareth will be working alongside actors Pixie Perez, Bella Dix and Jolene Dover.

Eve has donated some photos that will be auctioned off to help fund the film, and John Barrowman has even provided a vehicle!

Ian Smith, who worked with Eve on Torchwood, has told me that they will also be auctioning off a Children of Earth poster that was signed by the cast.

Premier in Cardiff on 30th June 2009.

I've heard about this. I hope those of us living outside of Cardiff get to see it, even if it's just via the internet. Apparently Gareth plays a sleezy character with an orange tan.

Damn! I thought when i read the thread title that we had been mislead with Matt Smith being the new Doctor, and David Tennent was going to continue playing the Doctor forever!

No such luck
