Coming to this thread a little late...
My HD South Pacific also failed to record. Fortunately, I spotted the problem a couple of minutes in, so started a manual recording.
I also got a 0min recording in the root and my manual recording (about 56mins). I had the Start/Stop set to Auto and used SL.
Up to now the Beeb has been very reliable with the AR data, but recent problems have shaken my confidence. I've now abandoned AR and set manual padding at 1min before and 5mins post recording. I'll have to live with the consequences of that. Because of the known unreliability of AR by other providers, I'd always edited the end time for C4 and C5 recordings, anyway.
