BB4 - TV's Biggest Failure Of 2003 Says Poll.
EddyBee
30-12-2003
'Illusionist David Blaine has been voted the biggest loser of 2003 in a poll of 1,000 people to find the year's failures......

He beat stiff competition from the likes of toppled Tory leader Iain Duncan Smith, Eurovision duo Jemini and the entire Australian nation.

Posh Spice Victoria Beckham was voted fifth for failing to break America, despite the help of record mogul Damon Dash.

Jemini's spectacular nil points in the Eurovision Song Contest won them 13 per cent of the vote in the survey of underachievers.

Meanwhile, one in ten voters picked the entire Australian nation as their losers of choice, after their rugby team got the boot from Jonny Wilkinson in the World Cup final.

Mr Duncan Smith came in at a respectable second, picking up 15 per cent of the vote after being kicked out by his own party after only two years in charge.

And former royal butler Paul Burrell was also branded a loser for selling secrets about his former employers.

He was ranked at number eight - one ahead of the Blairs, who made the grade thanks to the Cheriegate affair.

Reality show Big Brother was rated the tenth largest flop of the year, making it this year's biggest TV disappointment.

'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire' cheat Charles Ingram came in sixth, with 8 per cent of the vote.

Actress Leslie Ash followed at seven, with 6 per cent of voters branding her a loser after her "trout pout" misadventures following collagen implants...'
