Over at Jokers there have been a few posters bringing news of some changes to the Real Player feeds this season. If they work out it really sounds like they could be cool.

~~~
RealPlayer has made some really interesting changes to the live feeds...
One new feature is going to be called "Flashback" or "Time Machine." Let's say you're at work and come home to find that some major drama went down while you were gone. Rather than scouring YouTube for hours in search of clips, all you have to do is select a time/date and this feature will allow you to watch back what you missed. Very convenient.
Also, the presentation of cameras has been changed. Rather than having buttons marked 1, 2, 3 and 4 for each of the different cameras, RealPlayer will feature a thumbnail sized video of what's actually streaming on each feed in place of the buttons, allowing viewers to see what's happening in each room before deciding which camera to watch. This new feature is essentially a new and improved version of the Quad Cam. The Quad Cam is still available for anyone who prefers it, but as usual, the audio from all four feeds will bleed together, making it difficult to listen.
RealPlayer will also be featuring videos of the most important moments of the season to make sure we don't miss anything. These videos will be available at all times and new videos will be posted with each new game development.
More changes are likely to be revealed soon...
Also, another poster, Moosie, had this to say...
"On the Flashback feature they have it set up like a calendar so that you can go back to any certain day or time so to see a specific discussion or fight or puppet show (ha ha). Also if you're re-capping the Feeds for others you can go back to check and double check what was said without having to save it to your computer
Side-note: I mentioned working on what was the "hot" view at any moment so if you popped in you could tell by looking at the quad shot which frame had the MOST viewers.. whether it be by a highlighted color or a number. Matt (Lead guy at the BB Real Player Div) liked the idea but wasn't sure if it could be implemented by July 9th. It would save time looking for the 'one to watch' for some.
The Orig page for the Feedback on the Plus Pass Player is here on Facebook
Real Player Feeds Advisory Council
That group involves suggestions for the Plus Pass Player only. They have nothing to do with show ideas or content..
The next group page on Facebook related to that is
Big Brother Feed Watcher Club for the "Feeders"
If you noticed under the Profile Pic there is the quote:
"Please join us for the upcoming season of Big Brother 11. The game begins on July 9th. Feed watchers sign up for your superpass! Get 2 weeks free."
To see the examples of the proto-types for the new players:
This shows how the Flashbook may look:
Awesome! That really sounds fantastic, especially the flashback idea because watching from the UK means with time differences sometimes you miss stuff, this will be brilliant.
BBUSA making their feeds more interactive and useful. BBUK axing their feeds. Hmm.
Can't wait.
Can't wait for BBUSA. They've even made their already brilliant feed better and over here in the UK we're struggling to get more than the 6/7 hours at night.
Looking forward to it
I think I'm pretty much sold on getting the feeds now this summer. My only reservation about getting it was that I might miss the good stuff because of the time difference between us the the US, and that I might have to stay up really late for the feeds to be worth buying, but now I'm able to catch up on anything because of the Flashback feature.
Definitely, that is a huge selling point. I bought the feeds last year and some nights it was just too late to stay up and its disappointing, especially when there is an Endurance competition, which can last for 8-10 hours. But now with this Flashback feature, I can just get up the next day and click...watch everything I missed.
I have serious doubts in RealPlayer's ability to function properly, but the Flashback/Time Machine feature certainly is tempting.
You can download the BBViewer, it is much easier to use and view the feeds, rather than using the actual Real Player viewer.
Do you have to pay for it.
You still have to pay for the feeds through Real Player, but the BBViewer is free to download (it is basically another player and the layout is just easier to use than the Real Player one).
