"A network source told Britain's Daily Star newspaper..."

FAIL. FAIL. FAIL.

"Instead of the current brown and orange interior, the time and space machine will have blue walls and white windows, similar to the original 1960s Tardis."

Similar to the Peter Cushing films, maybe.

DOUBLE FAIL.

Thanks for that stcoop, nice bit of constructive debate there.

I always laugh when a 'source' is quoted.

My view is it might be true, it might not. Fact is though, the BBC does leak bits and pieces to the tabloids, and it wouldn't come as a surprise at all if in the next few days, prior to filming beginning, there's a press release about the outfit, the adversary and the new TARDIS.

I'm not claiming the article to be correct, but I'm not going to start bleating "FAIL FAIL FAIL" either.

The reporter seems to be mixing their TARDIS interior description with the exterior if I read it right.
A season opener with the Daleks would be great and I'm sure The Moff would give them something of a reboot too.
I always fancied seeing the 'new' daleks in silver...

Let's see; Daily Star - Even lower on the truth scale than The Scum or The Mirror.

An unnamed "source", which is Tabloid code for a made-up story.

Factually incorrect. The TARDIS never had blue walls or windows on the inside in the TV series.

Fail.

Maybe we'll have a new alien that wanders around attacking journalists with the fatal cry of "FAIL FAIL FAIL"? Bit weak though.

I think you might be right but there seems to be proof everywhere that he's wrong

That's exactly the same story again! Is this some strange new definition of "proof" I was previously unaware of?

Lots of places reported the story I made up about Rose marrying Doctor 10.5 too.

Doesn't sound like a bad idea if the Daleks do come back. It's always nice to see them back. But a lot of people are sick of seeing them and think they're over used. We've had them 5 times in 4 series at least. Surely they'd be better off trying something.

However I am excitied about...

the proposed new TARDIS interior.

its another silly internet term

"Fail" is the name of a popular Internet meme where users superimpose the word "fail" or "epic fail" onto compromising photos or short videos The meme is widely believed to have come from the arcade game Blazing Star. When the player loses, the message "You fail it! Your skill is not enough! See you next time! Bye bye!" is shown.

thats from wiki so it could be made up

The rumour of the

appearing in the first episode has been around for a while.

I'll believe it when I see it though.

Came from the delusional nutter Eddie, as I recall. He of the "Patrick Stuart as the Meddling Monk in the Specials" etc. etc. garbage.

This website blows. It had a nice few pictures i scrolled through and was reading under it and there was a quote from RTD about DT's "last episode" and it was one about POTD that I'd read. Lazy!

What stcoop is quite correctly stating is that 90% of the time the jornalists that put these storys in the press get the storys from us in the first place.

They sit scouring the forums and blogs and when they see something that could be fanwanky they take the story, stick it in the paper and then name an 'insider' or 'unnamed source' as the person who fed them the information.

And the story appering in more then one place doesn't give the story anymore weight, the fact is that 90% of the news papers and tv channels are owned by the same corperations and therefore if one of the news papers reports the story in one of their news papers/tv channels its safe to say that they will report the same story in more of the news papers ect that they own. A good example of this is The Sun who is owned by news corperation so if this story is picked up by the sun its a safe bet that more assests owned by News corperation will report the same news and thats a lot of flaming assest, these guysown like 60% of the worlds media and so what they belive to be true gets reported as true in 100 different formats.

Stcoop is right, the fact is that 99% of the time the only way to know a story will be true is when there is an official press release or you see the episode.

It's not from Outpost Skaro.

I have no idea where it originated, but I have heard that rumour before.
