My kitten keeps getting the cat litter and poo stuck in her paws. She struggles and runs away when I try to clean it. Is there anything I can do to prevent this happening?

You maybe need to get a finer grain litter until she, and her paws, are a bit bigger though they all tend to track some litter out of the litter tray onto the floor.
She shouldn't be getting the poo stuck unless it is softer than it should be? Maybe if the litter grain is too big it doesn't coat/cover the poo properly?
Some cats do well with sand in their litter trays as its very fine, will probably still get onto your carpet though

You can buy a mat that goes next to the litter tray that helps stop the litter being spread around. Our Maine Coon's "snowshoe" paws are a pain for spreading litter, the mat does seem to help a bit.

Don't know how well it would work for a kitten, but we've put a log of wood next to our ones litter tray and we've not had any 'incidents' since.
