What do you think is the best song or songs ever to be released?

Here is my favourite 5 of what I think are the best songs ever to be released.

U2 - I Still Havent Found What I'm Looking For.
ABBA - Dancing Queen.
Procul Harum - Deeper Shade Of Pale.
Vangelis - Chariots Of Fire
Fleetwood Mac - Albatross.

I can't decide. 5 or 6 years ago I'd have said something completely different to what I would have said today. I change my mind all the time.

Mine are going to be totally predictable but:

Best song ever:
Oasis- Live Forever- that song never gets old- still gives me goosebumps now.

Best song of the decade (and 2nd best song ever IMO):
The Libertines- Dont Look Back Into the Sun- most perfect song of the decade.

3rd Best:
Ride- Vapour Trail- this is my favourite live video too!

Other greats:
The Jam- Town Called Malice
The Smiths- Panic
The Clash- I Fought the Law
Lou Reed- Perfect Day
Babyshambles- F*** Forever- this is EPIC live!
Peter Wolfe feat. Peter Doherty- Darksome Sea (just release it dammit! And give Wolfie a songwriting contract- the guy is the biggest unrecognised musical genius in Britain.) (recording footage)
Danny Williams- Moon River
Peter Doherty and Dot Allison- Sheepskin Tearaway
The Stone Roses- Made of Stone
Primal Scream- Velocity Girl

Sorry, I have insomnia and I got a bit carried away- these are just a few of the best songs ever.

Mark is lovely (even now as a baldy)...but I only have eyes for Andy! He's still the angel-faced golden boy of Indie for me!

I cant believe I forgot Club Foot (although personally I prefer Reason is Treason)- must buy their new album too. Anything for Sergio

Funny thing is, although it's a good song, I can think of several ELO songs I prefer to "Mr Blue Sky". For starters "Sweet Talking Woman", "Fire On High", "Confusion", and "10538 Overture".

My own alltime favourite song? It's a tossup between "A Day In The Life" by The Beatles, and "Echoes" by Pink Floyd.
