Had a response from Channel 4 to say that it had been passed on to the engineering department (I also directed them to this thread). I had another response saying that the series links has all been fixed - which I replied to stating that the BB for Saturday and Sunday nights were still showing truncated ID's.

A quick look at my timers for next week seem to show that they have reverted to the original long CRID on all the programs I looked at.

Warning for today though - BB channel 4 9PM still wrong and Alan Carr's chat show still using the truncated CRID however next sundays has reverted to the long format so this will need resetting after tonight.

Fingers x - After today they may have all the linking sorted.
Thanks Richard,

I have, yet again, deleted ALL my C4 Timers, and set them up again, hopefully for the last time (but I'm not going to bet on it )

Rgds.

Having had to make two separate series links for The Simpsons, why did last nights recording end up in the T4 folder for the Sunday transmission, yet Tuesdays recording was in the right place. I just don't understand ......
I wonder if tonight's will be in Coach Trip or CDWM or ????

It's a hoot. Would recommend checking out the repeat or 4OD if it is available. Haven't deleted mine yet as something else was recording after I finished watching it. If push comes to shove might be able to upload it somewhere.

And tonight's Simpsons was in ....................... the T4 folder again

Well, as I reported on the 22nd, I deleted & re-instated all of my C4 Timers, and so far, they have recorded OK. A clean sweep sometimes helps.

Rgds.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just checking Friday 3rd July and at the moment channel 4 series CRID's have reverted to the shortened form.

This is beyond a joke now - perhaps I'll give it a couple of days and then report it again if they haven't corrected it. Someone else feel free to mail and give them hassle as well.

No problem! If it goes t*ts up again I'm happy to help. Could you post a link to where the complaint should go or will "laurel&hardy@C4dotcom" do the business?

Now series link for The Simpsons is recording Michael Jackson in the T4 Simpsons folder . If other channels can cope with football over-running, irregular scheduling and extended news why not C4? No harm done really but could do better IMHO

Here's the link to the web based form

As a quick update next Saturdays programs all look as though they are using the original series CRID's so I think it's just next Fridays that are screwed up.

Edit: I've just sent them a message about this using the reply to my original enquiry.

Series links for Friday have been fixed although I noticed that my dormant series links had not updated themselves i.e. 8 out of 10 cats had the correct series CRID but the schedule was still showing last Friday's dormant link. After performing the Freesat scan for todays changes the schedule updated itself.
