Rose Wine - To Chill or Not
I have decided to try a bottle of Rose tonight on the advice of an aunt who says that this particular one is nice!
I do enjoy a glass ofwine (or 2 or 3), however I am not a conossour nor drink anything other than white. But I don't know, if like white wine, it needs to be chilled or not.... Any advice please? |

According to my dad (who seems to know these sort of things) you can chill whatever wine you want, even Red. Personally I never chill red, but I always chill white & rose. There is nothing like a glass of well chilled rose (or two) in the garden on a sunny afternoon.

I would chill Rose, just don't let it get too cold, it is amazing how many people drink wine at virtually freezing point and it kills all the flavour.

Can you let us know what you think of it please.I like the ordinary Blossom Hill rose. I saw that one you have yesterday but bypassed it cos I thought it would be too fruity and sweet.
I have never had a Rose before, but I am impressed with this one. It is a bit fruity, but most pleasant. I would suggest you buy one and then if you don't like it - post it on to me

Hi Linz Hi would highly reccomend EJ Gallo white Grenache, I'm sure you will become a rose convert after it.

Did you know rose is made from red grapes. The skins are removed from the crushed grapes after a few days hence the rose colour.
White grenache is for those who like a sweeter rose. Persnally I like it dry, a Shiraz rose for example. |

Linz, that Blossom Hill one is one of faves! I'm no wine conaisseur (and can't even spell it!), but I think it's scrummy. The E&J Grenache is nice too, so I'd def go for that next time. Lovely on a hot summer's day!

I adore Rose wine, but it has to be super chilled. I like to see that condensation dribbling down the side of the glass.

E & J white zinfandel rose is the daddy of Rose lol, also the blossom hill version.]
I do like grenache, but it's a bit TOO sweet for me so I always go for the zinfandel instead (I also like red zinfandel). I too chill till it freezes, I have been known to have rose sushies before lol, can't be too cold for me |

Ice is also acceptable (but not my preference - who wants watered down wine?? )

I LOVE Rosé wine. It's my Fave. yummy yummy
![]() Definately chill it. I dont add ice, but if you like ice in your wine... go for it. If I didn't have to pick the kids up from school I'd crack open a bottle now and sit in the sun

I do like Rose in the summer, but am not generally a wine person anyway.
I was in the city yesterday at a meeting and walked past a lovely group of city boys outside a wine bar with a glass of rose each. It just seemed so wrong and unmanly! |
