Will I lose data my data if I change from iPhone 3G to 3Gs?
Hi..
Had a quick question regarding the data on my iPhone. I haven't spoken to anyone who works for Apple as of yet. I currently have an iPhone 3G and I am planning to buy the 3Gs next Friday on pre pay and basically just transfer my sim card. If ive backed up data on my iPhone (through iTunes) and then was to sell the phone will I lose all my applications and data on them such as high scores etc? As well as contact details, calendar entries and pictures? Because I dont think I can afford to lose all the data and may just carry on using existing 3G phone. |

Back the phone up in iTunes and then when you get the new one it will ask if you want to restore the backup onto the 3GS

Once restored will all applications include data I had saved? And will this include my contacts and calendar entries?

You'll have to resync your Apps but it will restore all of your contacts, calenders, settings etc

Thats not a bad price. I have had a few offers of around £200 but if I cannot sell then Trade Up will be Plan B!
Can you perform a hard reset from the handset to ensure that no details of mine are left on? |

Not sure if your £184.50 offer is for 8GB or 16GB, but you can get more for it than that with the phone recycling websites. Best I've seen so far is mobilephonexchange which was offering £190 for 8GB and £206 for 16GB - plus £3.70 cashback if you go through quidco.
Should be able to sell it for more than that though - I also just sold mine on AVForums for £275. PAYG prices for the 3GS are £440.40 for the 16GB and £538.30 for the 32GB - quite a lot more than the old 3G was on PAYG but unfortunately O2 has hiked the prices considerably for the 3GS compared to the 3G (unlike the US which kept them the same). |

It's for a 16GB, Mazuma offered me £200 but it's not in the best condition so i think £185 isn't bad at all.
