Hi all,

on the window of my local pizza place earlier they were advertising a website called just-eat. I have checked the site out & what it allows you to do is enter your postcode & then order from local takeaways online who choose to advertise with them.

Has anyone used this site before ?

Yeah the website itself is fine and allows you to rate the good or poor service you receive.

Be warned though that they don't have any standards - so any old takeaway can join.

I did have one issue where they didn't notice the order coming through so didn't start preparing it until I rang up to ask where it was.

I used them a couple of weeks ago and the takeaway was great - much faster than the website said it would be, and it's great for when you fancy a takeaway but don't have enough cash on you (you pay online).

They also do a points programme that I hadn't realised, so you earn points for every order.

Used them loads of times, never had a problem with the website itself (got nearly 100,000 points now )

The only one they do in my area is a newish place opened that people have said is pretty nice.
So I'm going to have a look through the menu and maybe treat us tonight

Thats one things I DO like actually - I know the numbers of places about here but never have an actual menu to hand so to be able to look through it online is really handy

I use it all the time, Its brilliant. Same as above where I know the local places but its nice to see a menu.

Ok I've just used the site to order from the takeaway that it shows for my area.
Have said delivery 5:30pm, the place opens at 4:30pm so it's told me that its closed and "we will ensure your order gets approved by the restaurant once it opens"
So here's hoping it works.....

I've used em a lot and very handy when you have no cash as you can pay by credit card.

Only problem is the website is now removing all negative comments (but still leaves the ratings up) and they won't reply to my e-mails as I think that practice stinks.
